He was def being recruited by auburn while he was still on the team. Nobody commits elsewhere that quickly after entering the portal unless they were in talks with someone. This sport is dying more and more each day. And the NCAA is just sitting back doing nothing.

He won’t be able manage the personalities he will bring in. He will crash spectacularly.

I comprehend just fine. I'm not the one making excuse after excuse for kids transferring in, and then turning around and doing the exact opposite for the kids transferring out.

This really doesn’t make sense unless he had a personal issue or something. It’s definitely not about PT and I guess it could be about money but he hasn’t really played that much. Why would AU throw any more coin at him than we did? He had like what 10 or 12 tackles. I’m guessing he didn’t like tAlignment or something along those lines.

There is nothing amateur about college sports anymore (not that there ever was for the best players coming from high school) but never have the coaches and universities had less control once a player has signed with a school.

College football hasn’t been an amateur sport since Allstate out their hands on the field goal nets

I hate Auburn as much as the next guy but y’all are crazy if you think Hugh won’t make them better.

They are the favorite to land Spencer Sanders at QB. They won’t be an easy W

So he passed up an almost certain starting spot on a contender to go to Auburn. This had to be all about money.

No kidding. Why do you think all these players are coming to LSU?

He got decent PT for a freshman and Kelley recently commented how bright his future is. We are depleted at LB. Money is the only reason he left.

And how do you know he was in good standing with the coaches. He didn’t even travel to his home town for the bowl game. We don’t know what the situation is. Kelly keeps a tighter lid on his program and ever thing else is speculation. We may never know the reason he left. So be itt he is Tigerbait!

Liberty (while Freeze was there) was one of the first schools to offer Tolan a scholarship in high school and Auburn was the last place Tolan visited before committing to LSU out of high school, so it's not totally shocking when you put it all together with Auburn having big needs at LB.
