BOX, you have to understand, if you are jumping in to contend that point, you probably don’t belong in this convo. You have some catching up to do, and I’m not here to catch you up.

So get caught up or just move along, your call. You & GFunk can get together & see what people are saying about Delpit. Twitter is a good start. Just type his name into a search

No one is surprised you have once again ignored an actual post to go on a personal rant.

Apparently it would be too much for you to just admit that perhaps saying 2019 Delpit was as bad as 2018 Delpit was good was a bit of hyperbole.

FWIW, 5dimes has Delpit first round pick at +200. Anybody that is confident he is a first round pick has the potential to make a lot of money

What did they clock Grant’s 40YD during the reverse TD against Clemson?

Delpit was hurt a good portion of the season. That is probably the main reason why he didn't compete at combine.

Any team that doesn't have to spend a 1st round pick on Delpit will get a steal.

I said it many times on here Delpit has first round talent and with this speed he just showed he may jump back in the first round but he definitely took a large step back from what he showed in 2018. Nothing new here with some guys that are projected as sure fire first rounders and read their own press and production goes down. Greedy Williams comes to mind. GD was bouncing off guys and just gave up big plays something we weren’t using to seeing from his 2018 season even before injuries. If his interviews went well at the NFL combine (didn’t participate in drills) some team takes him in the first round due to his size and speed if the interviews went bad then he falls to 2nd round. Let's not just single out Delpit, the trend as of late with many is to not do all of the testing at the Combine, put what you can off to your Pro Day where the times and conditions are more friendly/generous.

Delpit was friggin hurt man. Bad too. He is just a damn warrior and played through a lot of it during the season.

Don't blame him one bit for not performing at combine at less than 100%.

Others play the game in regards to agents etc. I think the injury was the main reason Delpit didn't compete.

From what I heard a lot of our players chose not to participate at combine due to us playing in the championship game and not having time to recover and train for NFL combine. Not bad thinking imho since everyone knew they had their pro day.

A box safety that cant tackle is worthless.

I don’t recall Delpit missing a bunch of tackles in 2018. His injury really hampered him this year. He tackled much better late in the season after he recovered. This Delpit can’t tackle business is a load of crap.

He missed 16 in 2018 & 20 in 2019 according to pro football focus. That’s a lot

That is. But man for some reason when I watch his 2018 tape, the tackling issue just goes out the window lol. He was all over the field making plays. Teams had to know where he was on every play. If the Saints weren’t set at safety I would love Delpit.

Maybe he didn't have as stellar of year in '19 as in '18 but he was a great player.

Hope he gets drafted really high and gets lots of moolah. Want the best for my Tigers.

As good as his 18' tape was, his 19' was just as bad.

I get what you are saying but thats still a bit of an exageration.

I alos think there was a night and dat difference once he got a week to rest vs. Arkansas.

Last 5 games he had 20 tackles, 3 TFL, 2 sacks ad a pick, and just looked better.

He also looked better when Hampton started playing that deep safety role.
He definitely looks better crasing running lanes and covering man than playing a deep centerfielder role.

True, but that is usually due to a faster surface, other variables like the judge at the Combine who stands at the start of the 40 yard dash with a whistle and holds them in the start position forever. Also, Combine week is stressfull (usually the biggest job interview of a prospect's life) the players go through A LOT in the days before the forty/testing.

At same event Cam Dantzler clocked a 4.38, at the combine he ran a 4.64 officially...soooo, yeah, doubtful NFL teams take these times seriously

Cam Dantzler 4.38 40 at Baton Rouge Pro Day

Amik Robertson was clocked at 4.45, which seems believable. But no combine time to reference here.

Then why do you start a thread declaring that he “helps cause?”
You’re such a shite poster/contrarian that you’re now contrary to your own posts.
Clown show.
