Here’s part of the write up from the athletic that ranked him 99th. UT Martin played at the 7th fastest tempo so per game stats will be inflated. That’s not to say he won’t be good - but expecting him to be a high level player is how you set yourself up for disappointment.

“A small scoring guard, Sears is a two-time first-team All-OVC pick and a two-time All-OVC Tournament player. He’s a big-time shot creator who uses quick-twitch moves to get into the midrange and toward the rim, though I’m skeptical if those skills will translate to the next level. Sears made just 46.7 percent of his shots at the rim, 38 percent of his floaters and only 33 percent of his midrange jumpers, per Synergy, despite playing against the 328th-ranked strength of schedule in the country.”
He’s barely ranked as a top 100 transfer. We don’t need to pretend like this is similar to getting Mark Sears who was a consensus top 10 transfer.
It will definitely be interesting. Arkansas currently has 1 player on their roster so according to the rant he needs at least 3 years before you can judge him.

I’d be willing to bet Arkansas has a better team than lsu next year

Don’t forget that 9-9 sec team had a 1st round draft pick and another (Days) play in the G League. We will go 8-10 and McMahon sucks, Wade went 9-9 with an nba player and he’s a god. Its mind blowing

That team was a 6 seed, finished 21st in Kenpom and peaked at number 8. This team won’t make the NIT and 87th in Kenpom. They aren’t close to comparable
Great all around back. He’s been everything you could hope for. Between the tackles runner, pass protection and catching out of the backfield.

Beginning of the 4th quarter first play of the drive Kaleb Jackson was in and dropped a ball that Logan caught twice earlier in the game. Small play in the game but potentially could’ve been a different result had Diggs been in for that play.

Looking for 2 tickets LSU vs FSU

Let me know if anybody is selling 2 tickets, preferably lsu section

The Pirates already have a pretty good center fielder.

Suwinski is not stopping them from taking Crews. Their talent level is not even close
To be fair he had the second highest aDOT throwing to terrible WRs so I wouldn’t expect him to have great completion numbers.

I hope he turns out to be a good QB because of everybody shitting on the pick
Solid pickups so far but like for any team will need to see how the pieces fit together on the court.

Could be a perfect fit and come together like K st, or could not fit together and don’t live up to expectations like Illinois

His stats say he rebounds like a point guard

His defensive rebounding % was top 250 nationally and 13th in the Mountain West. And it was better than anybody on lsu last year. Not an elite rebounder but definitely capable and nowhere close to a point guard.

His offensive rebounding was low but Nevada was 333rd in OReb% which means it’s more than likely their system was focused on getting back on defense rather than crashing the boards.

FWIW his player comparison for this year on kenpom is Duop Reath
Will be an instant impact player. Will be similar to KJ Williams but not as talented. Stretch 5 who is solid but not great defensively. Won’t be much of a rim protector but can rebound

Carlos Stewart is officially in the portal
quote:

So he didn’t stretch the defense because he could knock down the 3? Interesting. You watch him any this year or just the tournament?

I’ve watched the majority of UConn games and seen Sanogo for 3 years. Taking 1 three a game does not make somebody a stretch 5. 90% of the time he is underneath the basket.

Jake Stephens, KJ Williams, Drew Pember, Jack Nunge, Grant Basile and Branden Carlson are examples of stretch 5s this year. Sanogo’s skill set is completely different than these players
quote:

If you watched UConn win the National Championship with 6’9 Sanogo who was a stretch 5 and Karaban who also was a threat from deep you wouldn’t be giving an uninformed opinion like this.

You clearly didn’t watch UConn win a national championship if you think Sanogo is a stretch 5
