Relative to the talent it’s the worst defense I’ve ever seen in 35+ years of watching LSU football.

I watch a lot of college and NFL games. I’ve never seen as many consistent busts throughout a season as this team has given up. It’s like they are playing with 7 people out there sometimes.

This is what you'd expect from Vanderbilt.

You’re right, it’s unbelievable. Those end zone view shots during the game Saturday highlighted how often we’re outflanked by formation or make calls that play right into the offense’s hands. How about the screen touchdown to Toney? We had 3 DBs trying to defend 4 guys inside the 10, how does that happen? And to keep running Clark out there, who refuses to take on blockers or hit anybody, is head scratching as well. The kids played their hearts out but what Pelini is doing is still a disaster.

7.23 yards per play, holy motherfricking shite. I’be never seen a DC with over 6, that’s unfathomably awful

More baffling is how Florida lost to this team with a Heisman trophy candidate at QB and Pitts being told to sit out and rest this week, still gaining over 600yds of offense, etc. We didn’t even play Stingley.

This is the worst defense I can recall ever watching LSU. And we beat Florida lol

not defending the stats of this d but the only reason why some of our defenses in the 90's weren't worse statistically is because of the style of play then and now.

It’s not baffling st all. The Heisman candidate turned the ball over three times in the first half giving us 10 points and preventing Florida from getting points. The same Heisman candidate had a 64.9 QB rating and failed repeatedly to rally his team in the fourth quarter and score a TD.
