He just said the TE runs a single route out of a specific formation. If it's the play I'm thinking of, the TE was running a crosser and was pretty deep in the progressions as basically a checkdown, that's fairly common.

Damn right. He put up great defenses to counteract Les-is-More offense, and he was a big part of 2019 National Championship. He deserves respect.

Dave is an excellent X’s and O’s Coach. I’m not sure if he’s cut out to be a head coach, but that doesn’t take away from his defensive knowledge. If we have an opening in the future at DC we would be lucky to have him.

He is a very shy person and does not like talking in general, much less to a group. Much better in one on one private settings than he is with other people around. When he was at delta state I don’t think I ever heard him talk outside of position meetings.
