You know that's why they made the playoffs, right? On brand name only, and the SEC living in the past thinking the old Bama would show up and win the natty again for the SEC. That ship sailed. Bama ain't it anymore.

For the record, I do believe we got the coach we needed, but I want to play devil's advocate and also get feedback from the posters who know more about the program than me.

We all know LSU made the "correct" hire, but is Kiffin the "right" hire. Yes, he wins the press conference every time. He's the splash hire and obviously a better fit than have it my way BK. But what are his strengths on the field that will bring us an SEC championship, beat Bama, and get us in the playoffs every year? We all know he develops QB's and can recruit, but beyond that, X's and O's, where will he elevate our team?

I had to go back and look at the scores from 2011. Damn, our offense was way better than I remember. What the hell happened to it in both Bama games? I remember watching them both, but don't remember details. How did Bama shut us down so effectively?
