He wouldn’t transfer here unless he had a legit chance to start. He’s a talented kid. I expect nothing less of him to make a push.

while one of his competitors could've financed such a trip from family money alone, Daniels and his teammates utilized their NIL earnings to fund the trip out West themselves.

This was unnecessary

I think most of us know the answer to this . He would easily be the least accurate of all 4 QB's.

Because there's absolutely noooooo way he could possibly improve from one year to the next under a new coach and better talent around him, right?

Not to mention... his career completion percentage is the highest in the room while having 25+ more starts than the next guy.

Then you said he's least accurate of the 4 when Howard hasn't played a damn down of college football yet. Come on, at least try harder to hide your hate.

5th year senior Myles Brennan, who has 4 million loyalty points, will take the first snap of the season.

Daniels will not be named the starter at QB, as his experience when put under the microscope of scrutiny reveals him to be a very mediocre QB at best. As he certainly is not an SEC caliber QB. Meanwhile, if he was named the starter at QB, then the coaching staff may as well tell Boutte, Bech, and Nabers to take the season off because they won't be needed.

Moreover, if the QB competition is really as close as Brian Kelly hopes everyone foolishly believes that it is and in which I don't believe is the case, then common-sense dictates that you name Nussmeier the starter because LSU will need Nussmeier to stick around for the next three seasons. Whereas both Daniels and Brennan are history as soon as the season ends.

Furthermore, after Nussmeier's excellent showing in the 15 spring practices and in the spring game, no way is Brian Kelly stupid enough not to name Nussmeier the starter. Because is he doesn't name Nussmeier the starter, Nussmeier will inevitably hit the transfer portal so fast that it will make Brian Kelly's head spin and I would not blame him one iota. As it would be incredibly stupid for him to stick around.

Meanwhile, LSU would go into the 2023 season with only one redshirt freshman at QB on the team.

No way is Brian Kelly that incompetent at managing rosters.

From the beginning, there was no reason for Daniels to come here unless he had a pretty good idea he was going to be the starter.

Loon Phillips is a major ignoramus and no, Daniels will not be the starter at LSU in the fall.

Disagree with that. He didn’t need to be promised the role, but he should be given an honest shot.

Yeah, they are on the beach enjoying the nicer weather. After a couple of days they decided to put together a tik tok to make it look like they are doing nothing but practicing.

Unless Daniels improves his accuracy they are going to get tired of trying to grab balls thrown behind, over, and under.

If Daniels and Nuss leave, BK will get 2 solid transfer QB's in the portal.

Personally Nuss will be 2nd string behind Brennan and get some decent playing time.

Is he accurate? That's the number 1 trait in a QB.

He did not do well in this category in the spring. I have no idea how well he can read defenses at this point either.

All three LSU QB’s are putting in the work. This fall scrimmage is going to be one of LSU’s best QB competitions in a while.

tell that to the NFL, it's all the rage now. Burrow made a living at at LSU running around the pocket making plays and extending plays with his legs (UGA and Clemson can easily attest to it).

I understand what you’re saying about running. Scrambling even. However, in the NFL extending plays for >3 beats while in the pocket is not scrambling and it has nothing to do with your running ability. Manning? Brees, Brady all extended plays while in the pocket. It is about how you process information based on prereads and understanding the time every play where your protection is likely going to breakdown and how to extend it.

I look for Brennan to start, and Nuss being given opportunities and experience. Daniels will be used situationally and in packages.
If i read Kelly's comments accurately, he kinda expects Nuss will compete for the starting position by the second half of the season.
If Daniels starts at any point, it will be b/c he experienced a sudden transformation as an accurate passer and/or b/c Brennen and Nuss have failed dramatically.

I’m pretty sure Daniels won’t start.
