tell that to the NFL, it's all the rage now. Burrow made a living at at LSU running around the pocket making plays and extending plays with his legs (UGA and Clemson can easily attest to it).

This whole statement is twisted within the context that you intended. It is NOT all the rage in the nfl to have a running qb. Most of those guys can at least extend a play but no head coach or team owner wants his franchise qb running around taking shots. That won’t last in tgat league. There are only a couple guys that can really run in the league. Lamar Jackson is one and He’s not going to win a super bowl because of his legs. Extending a play is not the same as being a running qb.
Burrow could run if he had to but you are using a guy that threw for over 5000 yards and 60 tds as an example as to why it’s important to be able to run? If burrow didn’t run at all he would probably still have thrown 50 tds.

This seems like the kind of thing that divides the team and causes you to lose 8 games.

If they were going to do this, they should have stayed in Baton Rouge and done it at team facilities.

Have a downvote, Garrett Nussmeier will be the starter. Neither LSU or CBK recruited Daniels here, Daniels reached out to LSU and they took him.

Guys it doesn’t matter who takes the first snaps against Florida State. What matters is do we win the game and who makes the most plays in the end.

Just a few today boys that have been out there about Jayden Daniels the whole time but our fans base refuses to acknowledge:

Jayden didn’t throw a single interception in spring of his freshman year as an early enrollee.

His true freshman year he only threw 3 ints

The other two season were a wash because of covid.
One of those years ASU only played 4 games.

He was ranked the 35th player in the country coming out. Literally the highest ranked QBs we’ve had on campus since Perriloux.

Don’t care who starts but we could very well have a horseman finalist on our hands if he plays better and takes care of the ball

And yes I’m betting money on our team to get to Atlanta if he starts.

I don’t care who it is. I think we have smart coaches now. They will pick the guy that gives us the best chance to win. Not worried about a moron making the selection like in the past.

Good grief.
I’m pretty optimistic about the Tigers moving forward with BK, but this is not an SECw championship team.

Sure we might get lucky and get to Atlanta, but to expect it is stupid.

Orchestrated by Daniels, this West Coast training program stands as a multi-layered public push for the QB job, and a clever one at that; while one of his competitors could've financed such a trip from family money alone, Daniels and his teammates utilized their NIL earnings to fund the trip out West themselves.

Makes me think of the poster on this board that said he could "guarantee" that Brennan had problems relating to his teammates due to his wealth.

If Kelly starts setting the depth chart based on some kind of social justice agenda, LSU is fricked for a generation.

Welcome to the new age of college football.

This will be seen more and more with NIL money's involved.

Jayden Daniels is clearly trying to get ahead in the QB race. He might be the guy. Here's why:

If he’s our starter, we’re in big trouble.

Jayden is a top notch kid and a great leader, I expect him to win the starting job.

Hopefully he masters that footwork they’ve been coaching his on.

He hasn't mastered it being in college for 4 years.

All of a sudden he will become this accurate passer with great footwork.
Like poster said what the frick does having all those great recievers do if you have a running QB. His first mentality will be run the ball.

From the beginning, there was no reason for Daniels to come here unless he had a pretty good idea he was going to be the starter.

I understand that.My thing is we have all this talent at reciever.
What are we gonna do with Thomas,Boutte, Nabors, Bech...and on down the list.

If it's Daniels then we will waste those WR.

BK & Co. brought Daniels in as transfer QB, despite the others being on the roster.

Yeah because if LSU loses a QB after Fall practice then you still have 3 QBs because Daniels cannot transfer. He is a great insurance policy.
