Nope! Checked out at LSU Odyssey. Lonn is a plagiarizing weirdo.

I see a lot of people questioning Daniels for his accuracy and passing ability. Let's compare:

Myles Brennan

60.2%
1712yds
8.5 Y/A
13/6 TD/INT

-1yd Rushing
0 Rushing TDs

Nuss

50.9%
329yds
5.8 Y/A
2/2 TD/INT
-46yds Rushing
0 Rushing TDS

Daniels

62.4%
6025yds
8.4 Y/A
32/12 TD/INT
1288 Rushing YDS
13 Rushing TDs

Also, as you can see, Daniels got most of his yards in the air.

I’ve got nothing against a guy chasing his dreams, and he clearly loves LSU. I’ll never go to his site, though, because his writing is shabby and rushed. The formatting is especially amateur. I wish him luck, and it seems like he’s getting better info these days; he’s just gotta up his game a bit.

For some reason, I am comfortable with our QB situation....

You just destroyed a lot of narratives with that post…

He also threw ten picks last season.

He'll play. But like the other two, he's got a lot to prove. He also fricked up the QB situation for AZ State.

Left out of the story was the meeting that took place between Daniels, his mom, and Herm Edwards some time back. Daniels assured Edwards that he was coming back so Edwards didn't offer a scholarship to Spencer Rattler, who wanted to come home and play. Rattler is a much better QB but Edwards was loyal to his guy. This move by Daniels will not be well received by his former teammates because it was a punk move.

Brennan will be starting. It’s his job to keep.

Brennan threw the ball 130 times in 3 GAMES! If he kept that pace up, in a 12 game season that would have been 520 passes. For reference Burrow threw 527 passes in 15 games in 2019.

For the record, he also played about a half in at least a quarter of the games. LSU actually threw 567 passes.

But you do have a point there. I would doubt he would have thrown that much in every game.

But if you look at that season, there were only 2 3 game stretches that had fewer passes after Brennan was out.

S. Caroline - 21
Auburn - 48
Arkansas - 42 - 111 in 3 games
A&M - 47 - 137 in 3 games
Alabama - 45 - 134 in 3 games
Florida - 36 - 125 in 3 games
Ole Miss - 51 - 132 in 3 games

So it isn't a stretch to think he may have thrown 500+ passes that year.

We'll see how this pans out. I like Brennan but if Daniels or any of the other QBs gives us the best chance to win, that is who I want.

I don’t like multi quarterback systems but I would be okay with it this year.

Daniels can’t hit the broad side of a barn, stop it. It’s Brennan or Nussmeier as the starter.

Daniels was disappointing. He finished 3 of 9 through the air with 68 yards, though he added a score with his legs.

This doesn’t look like 65% completion % to me. That’s 33% and that will stall an offense every time!

Nice Post.

Coach Kelly will pick the right guy. He and Denbrock will put any of the 3 in successful positions game in and game out.
Have to say tho, to get teammates to go on a trip and pay their own way is impressive leadership on the surface. I like Daniels alot. He can terrify a defense in the right scheme if he continues to develop his pocket./passing skills.
The 1 major QB intangible that is often overlooked, is the exact moment to decide to leave or stay in the pocket. That split second is the first down and wears on the defense.

These 3 QB's are very very good at their best skills. This will be interesting to see how it all plays out. May be some regrets from coaches and players before the dust settles.
