Orchestrated by Daniels, this West Coast training program stands as a multi-layered public push for the QB job, and a clever one at that; while one of his competitors could've financed such a trip from family money alone, Daniels and his teammates utilized their NIL earnings to fund the trip out West themselves.

Jayden Daniels is clearly trying to get ahead in the QB race. He might be the guy. Here's why:

1. BK & Co. brought Daniels in as transfer QB, despite the others being on the roster.
2. He has the most experience as a college player and a starter.
3. He has the ability to extend plays with his running ability, which BK and Denbrock typically utilize in their offenses.
4. Although not totally consistent, he has shown that he has a high ceiling. (Specifically, his 2019 season).

I think most indicators point to Daniels starting. I think Nuss will be the better overall player in the long-run, but he is mostly unproven at this point. I don't think Myles is the guy with his lack of running ability (vs the others), injury problems, and essentially being out of football for 2 years.

I think this could shake out several different ways, but my money is on Jayden Daniels to start against FSU in the Superdome.

Whether you want him to start or not, he’s putting the work in.

We were taking a QB no matter what, he kind of fell in our lap. I don't mean this as a negative, he could very well be our guy.

True, pac12 isn't the best league, but experience is experience.

I feel like this is the most overrated feature a QB can have. It's a blessing and a curse.

Had Brennan not gotten hurt, he would have destroyed Daniels college career stats in one season. Is Brennan's ceiling that much higher?

Have to give him credit if he organized this, he sure is giving it his best shot to start and that's about all we can ask. Coaches have a hell of a task, glad it's them picking.

First of all, I want every QB to "make a push" for the starting job. If they're not trying, they shouldn't be here. That said, I still don't think Daniel's is the starter. I think he's a package guy.

Waiting for all the jealous self-appointed recruiting experts to start trashing the article for no reason other than it was written by Lonn. They really are more emotional than high school girls on here over him.

You may be right, but if the coaches don't know who the starter will be I would have trouble making a prediction. As I understand it, Miles B was in the portal and had essentially left the team. Coach K recruited him to come back and at the time that was very important addition, all things considered. Obviously, Coach Kelly will have to make the best decision for the team. I have wondered how big a factor it will be in making that decision, if the competition is close, in that Miles agreed to come back when the team needed him and he has only one year left to impress the NFL. How much will these subjective issues play into the decision if it's close?

Is he accurate? That's the number 1 trait in a QB.

I don't like that statement at all. Meritless and stupid.

I think most of us know the answer to this . He would easily be the least accurate of all 4 QB's.

Higher career completion percentage over Brennan, but he did have 10 INTs on a bad team last year. Would like to see the Daniels from his Freshman season.

Question! Do you have a source that BK actually made first contact and recruited Daniels, or is that just an idea birthed in internet arguments.
I've heard that and I've also seen it denied. That he made the first contact.

Is your real name Mascona?
I just listened to Scona give the reason Nuss will not get the starting job. "He's is too reckless with the ball. Too many turnovers for BK", citing his play in the Arkansas game. Hmmm? Didn't Daniels have equal number of TDs as interceptions last season??? What was each players competition percentage? Arkansas was a stout team last season.
If Daniels earns the trust of BK, over the next month, I'll have confidence and be cheering for him. His explosive running coupled with say 60% completion would make us a contender for the SEC Championship, IMO.
If Nuss wins, we have a competent QB for at least a couple more seasons.
If Miles wins, he has earned it and I'll cheer for him as well.

He will be at least in a two QB system. Only because he doesn’t make all the throws. He will see the field a lot.

Cool but I hope that the most inaccurate of the three doesn’t start because he can run. How many fricking times does this mistake have to be made. All of our weapons are useless when you snap the ball and then run around trying to play back yard ball. That Is exactly what it turns into. We need an accurate passer that can read defenses. Period. I could care less that he’s the best runner. We don’t need a track athlete at quarterback. Just need to be mobile. If he’s the best passer he should play. If he’s not accurate enough to rely on his arm, he should not. Just my opinion.

I stopped reading the article here. It had no purpose being in there. Although I guess his purpose was making a college QB battle political, which tracks.

Daniels is trash. If he’s starting we’re hosed.
