Running QBs don’t win nattys

How about a quarterback who can, when necessary, either step up into the pocket, or run while looking downfield and either reset or throw accurately when on the run before the line of scrimmage rather than take one read then commit to only keeping the ball?

The man drove us 98:yards In one minute. What else could he have done?

It looked like our slot receivers were open on curl routes more often than not. Maybe not and it just seemed that way prior to the uptempo last drive/quarter when he often appeared to me to the 1 quick glance and roll out for determined run rather than pulling up and hitting the slot. Last drive was awesome and ge showed alot of grit. No disrespect, but alot of room for improvement from a quarterback

More than anything you see why they went with the faster player. This offensive line isn't to be trusted and would have resulted in 10 plus sacks last night of it was Nuss. I'm excited to see the kid but this line would get the kid killed.

I don’t know, drive us 75 or 80 yards a few times earlier in the game when the FSU defense wasn’t sitting back in prevent defense.

The reality is outside of the end of game when the defense was GIVING him easy short passes. The passing game was virtually non existent.

Once again I don’t think Daniels played “bad”. But what we saw last night was definitely not good quarterback play

The OL is terrible though. It’s why Daniels ran so much.

He fricking did that.

First drive.

Boutte dropped a TD and Dellinger snapped the ball over his head.

Apparently those drives don’t count.

He is a good kid, played his heart out, and showed great signs of leadership. That said he needs to the throw the ball more

My only gripe is his short pass touch.

He throws hot 100% of the time.

He had a lot of opportunities to STEP UP into a pocket when instead went back broke to the outside.

The offensive line needs improvement, but no oline is going to stonewall a pass rush 90% of the time. Unless its pressure coming from the interior Dline the quarterback has the opportunity to step up into a decent pocket and look downfield. Daniels did not show that kind of pocket awareness at all.

An example of a mobile QB finding receivers open while pressured: Jordan Travis. Dude looked amazing against LSU last night. Daniels should go watch the film on this kid and pick up pointers.

Hes a ball hog, and the skill players are very unhappy about it. Especially after his 'heroics' ended up losing a game they were favored to win

Did Cam Newton die?

Newton was also decent at throwing and weighed 245 lbs.

JD barely weighs 200 and that is being generous .

no chance Daniels weighs 200. He looks skinny, which is fine with me, as long as he doesn't get hurt. But he's quick and agile enough to avoid most big hits.

What I saw last night was a QB running for his life every play to keep from getting sacked. Daniels was the only one giving 100% effort. The Offensive line play was horrible and Daniels didn't have time to go through his progressions much less throw to an open receiver. Kelly said they couldn't have played worse but this was his first game.
Shooting yourself in the foot like they did last night was not winning football it looked like they had the jitters through the first 3 quarters and then came alive in the 4th even the defense settled down and got the ball back and anyone should see the greatness in Daniels to lead team to a 99 yard drive with 1:20 left on the clock. The Special Teams is what killed us last night but that is blocking schemes that can be taken care of. Still think we can win 7 games maybe 8 just need to settle down and execute.

You consistently have some of the dumbest takes on this board.

I'm in the same take as Myles Brennan and Boutte. I think they know more about JD and Denbrock than you do

The defenders were on him most of the time before the ball got to him. The OL gave him absolutely no time it's either run or take a sack I like he ran for yardage he had no other choice in the game I watched at least. Maybe we watched different games. IDK, :)
