Dale & Collis no longer carry any weight in LSU's basketball program, and that's a good thing.

Sounds as if Daddy Dale might have a little dementia going on. Roy Williams & Bobby Knight (both choir boys, as is Dale) made Dale Brown their bitch.

You are completely missing the point. There is no double standard. You’ve got Dick Vitale running his mouth every game about naming the court after Dale all while demonizing Will Wade for doing the very things Dale did. It’s hypocritical. That’s why his cheating is constantly pointed out.

I recently spoke to an LSU player from the mid 90’s and he said without hesitation that not only did he receive “benefits” as a recruit and player, but so did others on the team and that every college DOES do it. This was a highly recruited player that could’ve gone anywhere, but “physical ailments” hindered him at LSU. Played in the NBA as well. Won’t directly mention his name because he’s still “involved” in south Louisiana as a coach. So Dale Brown can eat a dick.

fricking deluded and retarded. Wade has done AS MUCH in 4 years as Dale did in 20.

Well that is just not true. Dale won the SEC 3 times and brought LSU to two Final Fours and two Elite Eight appearances. He's still the best basketball coach in LSU history and even petty remarks don't change that fact. That said, Wade is on a faster trajectory than Brown. The first 6 years of Brown's tenure LSU was a losing to mediocre program. It wasn't until the 78-79 season that the program started to ascend quickly and they spent the entirety of the 80's and early 90's being a national contender.

But to laud guys who "do it the right way" implying that the current HC of LSU...and others don't is RIDICULOUS. Brown was constantly at odds with the NCAA because he felt the (mostly) middle to lower class kids he brought to LSU should get some sort of financial help outside of just a scholarship. And while he was a tremendous recruiter and motivator let's be honest, he had kids coming from Los Angeles, NYC, Chicago, etc to LSU at a time when recruiting was very much the wild west in terms of "improper benefits". That's still how "business" is done today. It's just much more organized (which is the sole reason AAU basketball exists). They weren't leaving the rough streets of those big cities to come to BR solely because they liked the coach and city.

I hope Dale didn't move to a glass house

I hope you are correct with this assessment. My concern is that he has now been placed on the BOS and may have more clout.
I believe the Title IX investigation unearthed Bernhard’s involvement on making issues disappear. If he has an axe to grind and Collis would happily carry it out.
I believe Richard Lipsey is/was a big Wade fan with lots of BOS pull, hopefully he can neutralize Bernhard and his puppets, as well as steer Woodward correctly.

Bobby Knight once alluded to Dale Brown’s desire to rub elbows with the TRUE GREATS of the game, ergo he refused to dignify Brown’s flailing-rhetoric.

This was after Brown expressed a desire to be locked up in a room, Mano-a-Mano, ostensibly to teach Bobby Knight some lesson. Brown tried hard to be relevant, poking a proverbial-bear that tore his hypocritical-azz to shreds....LOL

Roy Williams never stooped to Brown’s level, never commenting on Brown’s insane attempts to be in conversations with the true greats of the game. Although, he did steal Dale’s Achilles heel, Le$tah the bearer of LSU’s FIRST major NCAA sanction!!!!!!! Do y’all realize that Title IX $hit-Storm was brought to LSU, to a great extent, by Le$tah Earl’s son Drake Davis?????? Arguably, Dale Brown redux fa sho!!!

So Vitale is complimentary about Pinson signing with LSU and Dale Brown is now running his mouth about Wade....all during the hot portal commitment period?

Bizarro world.

He might want to be careful casting stones since many of his former players know how things went down in his program. Sure would hate for one of them to start speaking up...

Doesn't matter if people like Brown or not. He's the most successful basketball coach in LSU history, and Will Wade gets lauded for bumping the Sweet Sixteen. We fire football and baseball coaches for that.

Hey dumbass, give us a rundown of brown vs Wade in their first 4 seasons at LSU. Make sure to include things like overall record, conference record, conference finishes, conference championships, postseason appearances, etc.
