Look at various posts on this board since NIL and transfer portal and it’s easy to see how fans aren’t as passionate anymore. There are a lot of threads on this very topic. I may not speak for the entire fan base but a large amount of posters on here feel the same way.

Is there an upside in having this kid?
Are we in need of another TE?
Could this disrupt the TE room whereas a kid gets pushed down the depth chart and feels some type of way about it. Seems like the juice may not be worth the squeeze on this one.

considering he was the best tight end in the sec last year ,besides treydez if you want to argue hes better, then id say theres upside. we can run 2 tight end sets with two unbelievably big athletic tight ends on the feild at once which would guarantee two mismatches and one of the two will probably always be open.

This is my take. You almost have to do it less to make your own team better than you do to prevent your competition from getting better.

I like this as an LSU fan, because I want LSU to be good.
I don't like this as a college football fan, because this just opens up a huge can of worms that can't be good for the overall health of the sport.
