All the NCAA had to do was pass the 5 in 5 while including Class of 2022 guys. The result was always going to be defeat(s) in court and chaos. It's like they embrace defeat and embarrassment.
The NCAA is finished. All they had to do was pass normal sounding rules and they can’t help themselves.

I’m trying to figure out if he is really serious or just trying to get engagement

I think the depth in various position groups have diverse skillsets, including TE. Everybody should be very valuable when used at their strengths, with everyone healthy, but the overall depth really helps to keep everyone fresh and if/when the injury bug hits. Offensively, the depth at skill positions should also help disguise play calls.

Lame Kiffin can claim all he wants that “it’s just the system nowadays” but I don’t see another coach or program pulling this crap.

I understand with the in conference transfer rule except if you are following your Coach or even position Coach. How that is not an exception is head scratching!?

It’s so nice having coaches that are engaged and playing by the dumb rules that were set. It does us no good to not do this just because people will cry.
The fact it’s Lane and Wade doing it really makes it better so the tears really flow from people over us taking advantage of every rule.

The trey’dez comment is pretty silly
I do agree with the main point of his post though - way more to a successful football team than the names on the roster

Look, I don’t like it either to be honest. Right now, it’s the Wild West, but it’s the Wild West for EVERYONE.
So until there are rules against this and a structure in place…

I really hate this. If I wanted to watch pro football, I’d watch the NFL. I do watch the NFL. This is going to be the Temu version. Not college football in all its glory. Not the NFL either. Some kind of weird hybrid.
Yuck. I want 2019 and before back.

I’m glad we don’t have to play against him this year- he went off on us last year.

The courts won’t uphold the rules. It’s fricking retarded to think that judges in today’s climate would be doing anything differently if the NCAA had allowed NIL with a couple rules a few years sooner.
It was always the slippery slope.

True. These kids finally get a shot to earn some coin before their football careers end. They didn’t quit on their teams, didn’t fake injuries, didn’t game the system. Now the rule changes late — so let’s be fair to the ones who played it straight. It’s only the 2022 class.

I mean some of you guys need to chill by calling him an “NFL player”.
He wasn’t drafted this past year. Sure he’s in a training camp, but that doesn’t mean he was going to make the team. If he was, he’d have stayed with them.
This is nothing more than:
College pays more than a NFL practice squad.

This sucks. Don’t care if it helps LSU.
