The big 10 and Michigan is far worse for the ncaa and this country considering it’s the conference of child sex abuse with Michigan state and pedo state. Michigan only won a title because they actually cheated not just bent the rules. Then Michigan covered up for Moore until they realized he sucked. It’s laughable how dumb HTTM is and it’s no wonder Trump broke him so bad he had to be put in a mental institution.

You’re just mad Jaylen wester and Trent Hendricks went somewhere else. Michigan is trying to do the same thing. LSU is just doing a better job at it.

You’re going to look like a huge hypocrite when Michigan does the same thing. They have actively been trying to.

If the commissioners of the ACC, Big 10, Big 12 and SEC had even just a smidgen of integrity left they would band together to block this move.

We KNOW that Lane Kiffin and other coaches don't have any integrity.....and of course, when you get down to it , fanbases don't either anymore.

Greg Sanky has already attacked LSU and Alabama.

The rules are the rules, it’s dabo level dumb to not use them as they are. This isn’t a Lane problem, it’s the NCAA being stupid. If they wanted to go to 5 for 5 they should have done it right after the national title. Instead they played hehaw and fricked over kids that could have easily chosen to go back. The NCAA has 5 for 5 right but yet fricked it up because they suck at calendars. The same shite that caused all the crying about us getting Lane caused this.

They can STFU.

If he had chosen to go back to Oxford, you wouldn’t hear a peep out of them.

I suspect there would be an antitrust/collusion lawsuit that would quickly follow.

It is a competitive marketplace. And whether you or I like it or not, the ONLY thing that matters is winning...despite what virtue signalers want to say. If this were Kiffin's 4th year at LSU and he had a .500 SEC record with no CFP appearances fans would be screaming for him to be fired and furious if the put the "integrity of the game" over trying to make a move like this. You'll get to see a good example of what "integrity" gets you when Dabo comes to BR in two weeks. He's been the most vocal and active in fighting the transfer rules, NIL, etc and reluctant to utilize it. The result has been a steady fall for Clemson was a NC contender to barely being ranked in the top 25 (in one poll not ranked at all). The fans want him gone.

The NCAA refused to accept and address this train has been coming for DECADES. Now they've been reactive and unsuccessful in putting any guardrails in place.

This is the marketplace. If you don't do it a competitor will.

sorry you are too much of a pussy to call it out and instead hiding behind the "marketplace"

So now we look at it as who can be the bigger whore, the players, the coaches or the athletic departments and their collection of sleaze boosters with the public playing the role of the John with the authorities being forced to abandon any semblance of policing power.

No you wouldn't. It sounds nice to say. It makes you feel good. But if the rest of college football was doing this and LSU wasn't while going 8-4 you, along with every other fan, would be screaming for Lane to be fired.

I think it is bad for college sports overall. But I'm also not naive or disingenuous enough to think that fans actually care about anything EXCEPT wins and losses. If that were the case Matt McMahon would still be the HC at LSU and O would not have been fired 1.5 years after winning a NC and producing one of the greatest seasons in CFB history.

Wins and losses are ALL that matters to fans. If you get enough of the W's fans don't really care how you got them. Despite your anger I bet you will still be watching in two weeks just like everyone else on the board.

The NCAA and conferences need to come together to try to put in effective rules...not poorly thought-out reactionary changes that are wrought with ambiguity. Until then, coaches are going to use whatever advantages are available to them in a big money, high stakes industry. That is the nature of competition.

Do you pay extra in taxes if you disagree with a deduction that is allowed? If not then why?

I do care... and lets not act like O wasnt fricking up in other ways

and yes wins and losses matter...i have no problem with transfer rule...i have a problem with this.

so you arent familiar then with all this I assume

1) they did vet 5 for 5 for a while
2) they waited untill all sports for academic year completed then implemented the rule
3) lawsuits happened because the 2022 class didnt get the 5th year and the classes before them did with covid and after did with 5 for 5
4) the 2022 class completed their eligibility under the rules given to them. NCAA made them a promise, kept that promise. after they left NCAA changed the rules going forward

its fricking bullshite that NCAA cant even make a rule without people suing.

So this prima Donna wants a crack back at the college level because he couldn't hack it at the pro level. He like a bunch of stupid kids before him gamb l ed and lost on the calculation......or maybe he's just not good enough for the NFL......and Lane probably lined up a sweet payday for him through Gordon or another jock sniffing booster . So now the kid wants back because he won't make the roster.

If I were the Browns, I'd keep the kid, put him on the practice squad for the beginning of the season and then tag him with PUP after 3-4 weeks or just release him

It’s the exact same thing. If you disagree with a credit or deduction you can chose to not use it. So what you pay more but you didn’t do something you disagreed with. Or you could know the rules and use them to your advantage and pay less.

In this case it’s a win for LSU as we get another roster piece do to a rules issue and the player gets a win because he gets another season.

The chambliss bullshite is worse than fringe NFL guys getting to come back for 1 season and it’s only this season.

It would be bad business for LSU to say we aren’t going to do this, any of our rivals would do it.

The players are just doing what all of us do, trying to maximize the amount of money we can earn for the skills we possess. If I have a very valuable skillset that puts me in very high demand in a lucrative marketplace why would I not try to negotiate the highest salary I can get? You would do the same.

The fans aren't the "victim". They are the root cause. It's the fans desire to win at all costs that drives EVERYTHING. There are numerous fanbases across the country that demand their team compete for championships. Anything short of that is unacceptable. The problem is only a very small number of teams can reach that level each season...and only 1 of 100+ teams can be the champion. That demand leads to firings less than two years after a remarkable championship season...followed by the hiring of a coach lured by a 10 year $100M contract...follow by firing that coach less than 4 years into the contract because he isn't winning at a high enough level for the fans...then the hiring of an equally as expensive coach with a hugely expensive roster. That's ALL in response to an angry customer (fans) base that doesn't feel their demands (championship success) are being met.

If the fans didn't DEMAND championship level success none of those moves would have been made and the money spent would be far, far less. But the customers (fans) have a high demand which exceeds the supply of coaches/players seen capable of meeting that demand. So the market rises. Maybe that someday reaches a point where the market crashes. But until then, coaches are going to do whatever is necessary to meet the demands of the fanbase.

You, and me, and everyone here who are fans of LSU football are the ones driving it ALL
