LSU doesn’t win a natty in 2025 without transfers from Indiana State, Utah Valley, and UCSD

Anthony eyanson-small school Daniel dickinson smaller school Luis hernandez-smaller school

Hence the “sprinkled in” the other 8 were developed talent for the most part

Evans, Schmidt, Curiel, Arrambide, Milam, and Brown are your blue chip guys that are the backbone of this team. Costello chose to leave but he should be here too. The next class behind them has Braun, Serna, Paz, Ricken, etc. There's plenty of HS recruiting talent on this staff. Many of the best transfers in the country come from smaller schools year after year. The only guys leaving programs like Arkansas and Tennessee are the ones who aren't good enough to get playing time. You want to go after their garbage?
Moore has been fine and the other 2 big pitchers we went after (Volchko and Mack) came from Stanford and Rutgers and are doing well enough at UGA and Tenn. We just missed out on them.
I'm not a season ticket holder but I did stay at a holiday inn express last night

So you are questioning him?

JJ let him walk in favor of these smaller school players as you say
Didn't Ryan say he was leaving before the season even ended?

So no Skenes, Tommy Tanks, etc.?
Sounds like a great plan.

building a roster entirely from lower tier schools just doesn’t cut it. There is a reason they were there.

This year its 4 out of 11, on the days they all start, thats a huge difference in your world?

Seeing a thread from a season ticket holder, I gave more pause and reflection to my response. You are still the same dumbass that makes mid march baseball panic threads as the guys buying the cheap seats 3 times a year.

It’s just this year we’ve seem to have gone 0/4 on the evals for this group.
It just sucks

I disagree that we’ve gone 0 for 4

Jay knows the recipe. Transfer studs plus the elite high school guys.
He has said several times he felt like MLB screwed us last year by overpaying the high school kids.
And he didn't get transfer studs for whatever reason. People can debate whether it was due to long season last year, missed evaluations, not enough money to spend etc etc

Fair - everyone’s entitled to their opinion. I just want the tigers to win

Give Jayva pass but this team may not make a regional. Bad

I get what you’re saying but I really don’t think we have as many “small school” transfers as you think. Yorke and DarDar if you want to count him are the only ones regularly right? Simpson as well, but very rarely are DarDar and Simpson both playing at the same time. Caraway can’t count being from Oregon ST
Dardar was from Kansas St, so not a powerhouse or anything, but not a “small school”. We’ve had a lot of success with guys from much smaller schools (Dickinson is obvious but I’m thinking back to Paul Gervase and Eric Reyzelman).

Shut up how does Jay know if they will pan out or not this is such a dumb take some years portal guys hit some years it may take sometime before they come on! They had to replace some key guys especially on the mound the hitting is what it is right now
Posted on 3/14/26 at 9:55 pm to Dead Mike
Why do they never bring in players from LSU- Eunice, natl champs???
Posted on 3/14/26 at 9:57 pm to ramchallenge
Can’t win it all every year. Talent is spread throughout the country. It is what it is
