Couldn't run or pass, couldn't score in the red zone. Gave up 4 TO's, 5 sacks, 10 TFLs

...and won by 31.
We had 45 points, 528 yards. If this is LSU on a bad day, we got a pretty good team

How did we accumulate 528 yds. if we couldn’t run or pass?

Yet there are people in some of these threads in full catastrophe mode.
Fix the turnovers and this team will be really hard to beat.

We've also played two G6 quality teams, so that's more than likely skewed a little bit.
It is promising though. We have reason to be tentatively excited.

Yes, I'm going to be that guy. How many red zone FG that should have been TD? Was it play calling trying not to show much when we didn't need to? Was it effort or technique that allowed LA Tech to dominate our OL?
You could say that 4 TO's can be cleaned up, but the 5 sacks and 10 TFLs should be concerning.
Stupid penalties that didn't happen in week 1 but happened in week 2 can also be cleaned up.
This was LA Tech's super bowl and our "trap game" week. Transitive property doesn't work in the emotional sport of college football, but Clemson might be that bad.
We didn't expect to learn much from yesterday's game, but we'll have a pretty good idea where we sit after the next 2 weeks. 10-2 is still the goal to feel confident about a playoff spot.

Because Leavitt made absolutely stupid throws at times. He needs to calm down, stop shouting his receivers down, and stop trying to force heroics. He’s not as good of a passer as he thinks he is. He needs to keep his cool and play within the game at all times.
If he does against Ole Miss what he did LA Tech in the red zone, we lose badly.

Exactly. And after 2 games, Tech has a pretty good Def stat wise.

LSU can't have the same "bad day" against Ole Miss and expect to win.

Yes this has been officially confirmed multiple times.

Certainly, I want to see better passes from Leavitt in the red zone. Having said that, with the RB run game dead in the red zone, how great was it to see the 4 QB TD runs. I was just thinking the main explanation for LSU scoring 23 last year vs La Tech and scoring 45 vs La Tech this time was that Leavitt and Clark are the QBs this season who aren't afraid to cross the LOS carrying the ball...last year Nussmeier wouldn't run even if he had a bunch of green grass in front of him. If Nussmeier was the QB this season, the LSU score would be have been almost the same as 2025.
