Is this college football or minor leagues for NFL? Should only be 4-5 five years max.

I'm pretty sure he graduated in 3 years and this is his 5th year but he doesn't have magical eligibility left. I'm still confused on how players keep continuing because I thought the original rule was that you have 5 years to use 4 years of eligibility, barring any extraordinary circumstances. Graduate school years not adding an additional year. And I think Jayden started all 3 years at ASU.

Due to covid, the NCAA ruled that the 2020 season did not count towards any athlete’s number of eligible seasons. Therefore, every eligible player that season was granted an additional season of eligibility.

Even if he could that would be dumb, his stock will be at its highest this year and with his style of play he’s one hit away from injury he needs to learn how to slide.

Even if he did have any eligibility left, it would be economic malfeasance for him to not go pro if he continues the year he is currently having.

If he pulls a Missouri like performance on the national stage @ Bama, he will be shooting up the draft boards even more than he is currently.

If he continues at the pace he is on, he would be foolish to come back.
Take the money while its available.

They should have redshirted him after the loss to Florida State to save him for 2024 since the season was over.

Yes, as long as LSU drafts him in the upcoming draft (6th round or higher) then he's back!

Covid year doesn’t count but he also played every season

the 6-7 year players your seeing are mostly guys who got 1-2 redshirts and a covid year.

Thanks, sorry for the mistake. To answer WHY he would come back. This is the deepest QB NFL draft in history by a wide margin. He would get drafted higher in 25 if there was a chance to come back

He’s better than just about all of them anyway.

No need, he's about to secure the bag

I haven't seen any mock drafts that have Daniels in the first round. Unfortunately for him, he's in a relatively stacked QB prospect class. As goofy as he may be, I think RG3 was right when he compared Daniels to Lamar Jackson. IMO, Daniels is a more natural passer than Jackson. But like Jackson, some teams are going to be hesitant in evaluating Daniels because as good of a runner as he is, he's not going to be able to do that long term in the NFL.

Not being a top pick could actually work to Daniels' benefit. Just like Jackson. Being picked later in the first round would send him to a (presumably) better team. Compare that to Bryce Young. He already had some size questions going into the draft. Now he's struggling on a shitty team (and is getting beaten up)

He is going in the first round. The NFL is in love with running QBs right now.

No..we have to accept the fact that his monster season is being wasted on a god awful defense with not chance at him having another shot

Which means he could also get picked in a lower round to a better team. Just playing devils advocate.

No, and besides, his pro stock will never be higher than it is now. I will be cheering for him in the NFL.

There's going to be a drop off from this JD to Nuss and people will be disappointed.
