Let Weis walk if he made such a demand. With his rising stock, he is likely a one and done guy. CLK must be dealing with some serious guilt.

Based on things Weiss has said to reporters, It seems he has told LSU if he can’t finish the season with OM, he isn’t coming to LSU.. Yes he has signed a contract but starting a new relationship on a rocky road may not be the best path
Then let him leave and pay his own buyout to LSU. He is employed by LSU and signed a contract to that effect. Kiffin built the offense and I have zero doubts he would be fine without Weiss

Weis thing is getting to be pretty annoying now.
Not that anybody GAF about my opinion, but my rope for him (& probably other fans') will be very short

Tell Weiss to stay in Oxford

It's annoying for all you juvenile 13, 14 and 15 year old premature ejaculatiors on here that have no patience. All this BS is so important in the pecking order of your life existence that yall freak out on every little sordid aspect of LSU football. It's like yall are automatically programmed to search out the most negative outcome of any given situation (Concerning LSU football/athletics) and focus on that. Immature geeks freaking out over a situation that they can't control. CWJ will be at LSU in a short time, so stfu!
Yeah, this thread is pathetic.
ETA: christ on a cracker, the comments on this page above mine are just getting dumber and dumber.

Looks like Smith may be the only one who doesn’t go back to Ole Miss. the rest plan to go back

If LSU is guilty, the best plan would be allow coaches to coach at OM then it would be hard for anyone to have sympathy for an organization that claimed LSU was tampering then allowed the LSU coaches to continue to coach their team.
Several of the coaches want to see if they have what it takes to take a team to the Natty, so good for them, just building their resume. I get it but it doesn't make the LSU brass feel good about you as an employee. Double edge sword, so you better be the best or you will be replaced on LSU terms and not on yours.

There is a thread stating the opposite of this.

OM must really be worried that Smith will continue to recruit and take OM RB K. Lacey back to BR.

Apparently Charlie wants his cake and eat it too and that dog don’t hunt

CW jr is thinking if they win it all, it makes him look ready for a HC gig b/c LK isn't there.

He is the play caller for a Semi Final Playoff team. Its not hard to understand why this is happening.

quote:Weiss is only 32 years of age and enjoying his success. The reasons to stay and finish this year at Ole Miss far outweigh the reasons to stop what he’s doing and get no credit for a potential championship run. I still think him finishing out the year at Ole Miss only helps him in the future whether it’s at LSU or elsewhere.
Get Weiss back here now.

don’t understand why LSU won’t pull the plug on Weiss
If I had to guess it’s simple. Kiffin agreed to Weis’s request to coach OM through the playoffs. Kiffin likely did not think OM would be playing beyond 1/1. He calculated wrong. But in good faith he’s keeping his promise to Weis. It is what it is.

If tweet fails to load, click here. I realize that. Am I reading this wrong? It’s basically an update. I read it as they want to join him at some point except smith

Let the Moscona fans have their minute.

In favor of the guy who just helped them win a NC? frick yes they would. In a New York minute.
They would be spending more money on an OC than their own head coach, on top of having to kick their existing OC to the curb and whatever buyout he may have
