I realize no matter what I say and how I say it, the overwhelming negative culture on antisocial platforms are going to throw me under the bus... I've been against the Kiffin train since the troll was hired. He'll never be in the same ballpark as Saban. College sports belongs to college student athletes only. Once you graduate or get drafted, your time is up. There aren't do-overs!!! Stop with the BS folks.

Almost none of these kids are taking legitimate college classes

They are paid to play a sport

Define college athlete? Cause I just watched an entire O line play for Virginia and then go get discounted food with their AARP cards

It does no good pining over something that’s long been gone. You want old school college sports and atmosphere, support small programs.

If that is what that means. Under current rules he could have transferred without penalty

Why do people who have no understanding of the situation feel the compulsion to make sure the internet knows how ignorant they are?

Fair point

Once you graduate

There are a lot of players who graduated yet still continued to play college football. I feel like some QB who had a good year in 2019 fit that criteria. Should he have not been allowed to play.

or get drafted

What if I told you the football players at issue here did NOT get drafted?

Also, are you arguing a large chunk of LSU's baseball team should not be allowed to play? Because several of those players have been drafted. Some more that once!

Finally, what if a player is a college student for 7, 8, 12 years? Being that he is a college student should he be allowed to play for that many years?

I think the horse is already out of the barn on this issue. In court today, Greg Sankey said he makes about $4.8 million a year when asked about his compensation. He also said he could not define what a professional athlete is. Considering that some college athletes reportedly earn more than that, it’s fair to say the line between amateur and professional is very confusing.

Elite college quarterbacks: $2M to $5M+ per year
• Arch Manning (Texas): ~$5.4M
• Sam Leavitt (LSU): ~$4.0M
• Bryce Underwood (Michigan): ~$3.1M
• Dante Moore (Oregon): ~$3.0M
• John Mateer (Oklahoma): ~$2.8M
• Julian Sayin (Ohio State): ~$2.4M
• Top non-QBs: $1M to $4M+
• Many Power Conference starters: $500K to $2M+

You need to wake TF up. Did you not see UVA with the OL that has two 7th yr players, two 6th yr players, and two 5th yr players in their rotation... Aint nobody pissin and moanin about that and they are in the favorite hunt for winning the ACC and making the playoffs.
