Actually he’s right. Kelly hadn’t won a championship yet, but his tenure wasn’t horrible. If you look at the history of lsu football, on avg Kelly was doing good. 10,10, and nine win seasons. This season didn’t turn out the way we wanted it to, but I didn’t see a reason to fire him. The other coaches that won championships didn’t have to do it in the NIL era. The didn’t have to start from scratch like Kelly had to. When coach o left, LSU’s roster was depleted. Yeah u can pickup some players in the portal, but most are in the portal for a reason.

His tenure had become as aimless as his attitude and work ethic.
One only needed to peer just barely below the surface to figure that out.
Muh average wins is sort of a meaningless determiner once you figure that out.

He was in year 4, not year 1 with 38 players. His recruiting went into the tank and that is on him, + him fricking off in his office instead of working. He deserved to be fired due to his total lack of effort this season and failure to interact and build rapport with his players.
