Just like the people that picked the Mississippi State upset last week.

It's not like we are some juggernaut. I like our odds, but wouldn't be shocked if we lose to a worse team. Most on this board laughed last year at the suggestion we could lose to A&M also.

Thats a reach... he basically said the game could be much tighter than people are expecting and gave those factors. He didn't pick Arkansas to win the game.

I don’t see it happening. But it’s not crazy to think it could happen.

LAWD

For a guy that was a former lineman, if he can’t tell the talent gap of the two teams at the LOS, then I don’t know what to tell him

I think LSU sacks KJ 4+ times

Unlikely. Arkansas is bad and KJ has been overrated for years. It will probably be closer than we’d like, but should be a sound victory.

Cole always wants to be the hot take guy.

If it was gonna distract us don't you think it would have distracted us when we had to take him out of the gameplan 3 days before the MSU game?

He drinks his own bath water. No latitude given at all to what he thinks. After we bitch slap Arkvark, we will bitch slap him for his stupid prediction. Idiot. Tigers roll!

I think it is the opposite. I think this is a rallying cry for our team now! Do it for 3!

yeah good luck with that.

The great KJ that led his team to 2 of 13 on 3rd down against BYU?

3rd and 7 incomplete pass
3rd and 4 incomplete pass
3rd and 25 sack
3rd and 10 incomplete pass
3rd and 6 scramble for 3 yards
3rd and 5 KJ run for 1 yard
3rd and 3 RB run for 6 yards
3rd and 6 incomplete pass
3rd and 4 KJ scramble for 4 yards 1st down, throws int 2 plays later.
3rd and 6 incomplete pass
3rd and 4 completed pass for 3 yards
3rd and 7 sacked and fumbled
3rd and 18 incomplete pass

13 3rd down plays, 9 of them 7 yards or less, and he completes 1 pass on 12 drop backs, and it wasn't even for a first down on 3rd and 4.

He was just as shitty the first 2 and a half quarters against Kent State, and finally started converting some 3rd downs on the last 3 drives of the game to pull ahead after only leading by 7 midway through the 3rd.

He was 2-4 completing passes for 1st downs against Western Carolina on 3rd down, took a sack on another, threw 2 1 yards passes on 3rd and long on 2 others, and had a failed run on 3rd and 1, so basically he was 2-8 on 3rd down conversions in that game.

The vast majority of 3rd down conversions from Arkansas are coming from the RB running the ball. KJ has been terrible on 3rd down. Terrible.

Cole’s a good guy but he’s had some extremely bad takes this year. He thought the Bama o-line was going to be the best ever and that’s his specialty.

He’s also been totally anti-LSU this year. The team and fan base always enjoys proving someone wrong, so thanks Cole.

I think it's close early, but watch for the DL to start to show it's potential. The coaches are starting to figure out the rotation they want. Jefferson is good at getting a push and Maason is getting in playing shape. Wingo will continue to dominate. Saivion is showing signs of improvement. Womack is starting to get reps too.

I expect it to be close with LSU pulling away in the 2nd half.

No he doesn’t.

To clarify, he may have said it, but no way he actually believes it. Arkansas may win (they won’t), but no serious person could have watched both teams play this year and objectively predict that. Their RB is still likely out, their OLine is a mess who had a bunch of false starts and holding penalties at home, and gave up a bunch of sacks and QB pressures to a BYU team only rushing 4, sometimes 3.

SEC opener in Tiger Stadium at night, the offense is humming coming in, OL is gelling and getting better each game, Diggs and Jackson have emerged at RB to go along with Williams as the probably top 3, Malik is playing as well as any WR in the country, etc…And again, if you’re objective, the Greg Brooks situation is much more likely to galvanize the team than distract them and it should give the crowd a little extra juice too. Again, Arkansas could win (they won’t), but it’s much more likely that the game looks like last week in Starkville than Arkansas coming in and pulling off the upset.

I think that BYU loss at home is gonna prove to be psychologically devastating to Arkansas. Especially since they pretty much doubled them up in offensive yards. That was the most winnable game on their schedule until they host State on October 21st. @LSU, neutral site game against A&M in Arlington, @Ole Miss, then @Bama.

That is a brutal stretch that should have started this week. Letting that BYU game slip away at home and beginning this stretch already behind the 8-ball with an OOC loss: I think they’re set up for a 6-6/5-7 type season, and deep down they probably know it. I’m sure they’ll come out fired up and ready to play Saturday, but if we jump on them
early and the crowd is still in it going into the 3rd quarter, their spirit is ripe to break and it could get away from them and out of hand early in the 2nd half.
