Very similiar circumstances.

Both strike lightening in a bottle with a Heisman trophy generational player (Cam and Burrow).

Both strike lightening in a bottle with fresh, new to the scene, innovative OCs (Mahlezahn and Brady)

Both will win National Titles.

Will Coach O be able to strike again or will he have a similiar career to Chizick?

I think that possibility has occurred to quite a few people.

Did Chizick recruit like Orgeron? I don’t really know but it seems like Orgeron is laying a foundation for continued success beyond a once in a decade QB talent.

that has crossed my mind. As long as he keeps lines stacked and keeps bringing in top QB's he should be ok. as well as replacing coordinators when time comes.

I talked with coach chizik saturday as he left SEC network TV set at SEC fanfare in GWCC.

wished us luck and was very complimentary of coach O.

Would be a better troll if you could spell “lightning” properly...

Chizik made terrible hires replacing his coordinators a la Gerry dinardo. If o avoids those mistakes, he will avoid the same fate

Thanks. Its really important all of us know you're cool enough to talk to Gene Chizik even though he told you nothing relevant to this thread topic.

We have all thought about the scenario. Only time will fell but our recruiting class is something Chizik never came close to.

Great point and one of the major differences between the two.

LSU has a better recruiting footprint than AU and O is recruiting >>> Gene.

That said, if/when the turnover occurs with the coordinators O needs to hire well.

If O brings home a National Championship this year, I won’t really care.

That said, O’s level of recruiting should keep us competitive. The key as always is finding a plus QB. Burrow is beyond all expectations. But a QB operating at 75% would give us a chance at a title run. So hope we have a string of good QBs following JB9.

i’d have to look up what years he was at Miami, but fairly sure it was more than one there.

“officially” ZERO a USC.
‘03 they didn’t go, ‘04 was vacated, and ‘05 he was at Ole Piss.
