Schumann coming too? He may be a few years away from a shot at HC job in the SEC
Does that suggest that whoever hires Franklin may have a few good players follow him?
1. Offer Franklin a lowball deal (let Penn St pay him)
2. Use money saved to grab the top players from their decommits, keep our recruits and portal in studs
3. Profit

I know coaching changes board. But thought it was appropriate response to the number of Penn St decommits. Actually, I assume most of the decommits for Penn State are from that region and will end up at other Big 10 schools.
Don't trust that. He can always change his mind. In the meantime, signing days pass and coaches you could have hired may no longer been available.
Think we are stuck with the basketball coach for a while. Buyout $ being sucked up to deal with football. Let’s hope he fields a competitive basketball team this year.
An average or better run game will make this offense so much more effective.

I like the I formation we saw at the end of the Florida game. Hope we have that package when we need short yardage and to change it up.

I like how Johnson runs physical and downhill. Due to Durham’s injury, he may be the default #1 and that’s not a bad thing. He runs hard and looks decisive.

Mix in some play action and we may have something to hang our hats on with a run game.

Of course I am not advocating to run on 2nd and long or to abandon the pass. Just to find a new way to use the weapons we have. And if Ole Miss has a weakness stopping the run, maybe this gives us a way to take advantage.

Perhaps. But as I said there are plenty of players with Louisiana roots playing ball. Hope we are tracking them and put an emphasis on those players if they fill holes.

Eli Holstein looks solid at Pitt

Would he want to come back to Louisiana? Bigger point is that I assume we have staff scouting Louisiana natives that have gone elsewhere to play. We should as there are solid players getting experience at various levels of college ball.
Yeah. I saw a guy with a dolly. Was thinking why is the filed crew in front of the players? Then I saw the mini cannon. Ha
And good job to our punt rreturner handling each one. I was nervous on each attempt knowing a turnover at that point would be a killer. Each aspect of the game was solid. If we lost last night it would have been on Kelly (and the blown TD call). Kelly needs to get his act together or he will be the reason we drop a game we shouldn’t.

Spring portal

I know We all want star players signed right now, But isn’t there also a portal. In spring? Does anyone recall how the talent in the two portals Compare? Is the price driven up later Compared to now?
Play out the scenario where we fired BK. The great recruiting class falls apart. Current players hit the portal. These days with the portal, you have to have a big hire ready to go if you get rid of a coach. So I think that gives BK a bit more time to put his pieces in place. We are all dissatisfied with opening games losses, bad decisions and the uneven team (strong O/weak D). But as long as BK is making improvements (staff/team depth, etc) I see him staying as he is likely better than the alternative.

Question is who is a better alternative?
Sure. A good year but it is always crazy to think of how much we all pay in taxes for the government we get.
Owed a lot. But still less than I thought I might. So that’s a win?
Yeah. I have only watched the second half and that has stood out to me. Several holding calls imo have not been called on KC
Sounds like they were working remote. Would it have been better to go into the office to get fired? Would have bitched about that.
There should be a clawback from BKs contract for every dollar we have to spend buying out his bad hires. Maybe reduce his buyout? Of course that could incentivize him to not make changes but seems like he should feel some pain for his bad decision.
