Coach Orgeron is a reminder that a coach is only as good as his assistant coaches. And Coach Eaux had some excellent assistant coaches. The results speak for themselves.

Plus Coach Eaux's theatrics was entertaining.

I'm happy to see him back in LSU football. LSU's defense will benefit from his experience, recruiting savvy, and enthusiasm. Building a collegiate football dynasty requires talented committed coaches and aggressive recruiting. IMO Coach Eaux does recruiting well.

Remember football is entertainment.

Start that countdown to kick off clock sir.

He's going to live in Louisiana high schools 363 days a year. High school coaches in Louisiana love him.

I think the point is to consider this as an ambassador role. He doesn't have to go to practice, he doesn't have to sit in meetings, but by being listed as a coach, he can spend every moment traveling the state talking football to high school coaches, recruits, and parents. He gets to be "Coach O" with all the praise and glamor, gets to stand on the sidelines on Saturday Nights, and do the part of the job he has openly expressed is his favorite part - recruiting.

Additionally, from Lane's perspective, think of the advantage of not having him coach. You literally have a guy who isn't tied to Baton Rouge Mon-Thursday in season. He can be at practices and games every day. Sure, the money matters and for lots of people matters most, but to act like relationships aren't important is myopic and oblivious to how the actual world works.

How many jobs get offered on a golf course or over a business dinner - sometimes the money is even less because of the relationship. This is just working to exploit that - and oh - by the way, if you want to talk money, there is still a bag of 40 mil a year waiting for the players that only care about the money.

So, everyone bitching and moaning about this, just stop and be happy we have a built-in advantage that other schools would dream of.

I like it. Don't give a damm about all those badmouthers out there. Oh they will scream and shout, but let them. They do that about everything. Let them scream like a stuck pig.

Let's hope he works harder than he did those last two years at LSU. I will never forgive him for letting us go from a national champion to those horrible crap years.Credit for the championship should go to Brady and Aranda.

His ex-wife sued him for her half of his buyout money and she was awarded 8.13 Million which he still hasn't paid her, probably because he already spent most of it. So yes he damn well needs money very badly.

Yep. Let the record show that in the year of Our Lord 2019 Coach O delivered a National Championship to LSU. And an extra added bonus - a Heisman Trophy to Joe Burrow.

THAT 2019 season was a fun season.

Now Coach Kiffin has taken over the helm. I'm excited.

This is pretty ridiculous. Yeah O crashed and burned and screwed us for 2 straight seasons, but honestly it was worth it for 2019.

Who hired Joe Brady? Who retained Aranda as the DC? Ensminger was still instrumental for that team. Who promoted Ensminger to the OC? Who recruited numerous players that helped win it all in 2019? If all credit goes to Bill Busch for bringing Burrow on, then who hired Bill Busch as well?

Oh yeah, O did all of those things. You can be mad at him for flaming out, but don’t be disingenuous. Without O, not all of those pieces get put together, to build the greatest CFB team of all time.

He got paid 30 million dollars just by LSU alone before his buyout even happened. His ex-getting half his buyout, etc., wouldn't even come close to making him desperate for money. So again, unless you have his bank statements, it"s just BS talk.

Lol how we are now back to this “O is a great crooter!” bullshite.

O or Frank, “recruiting gurus” are obsolete. It’s all about the size of the bag.

I personally dont want to see this guy anywhere near the program but it’s still In Lane I Trust.

If CLK wants to pay O peanuts to hang around and we are consistently in the playoff, then great. Let him fall short and O as well as the social media avalanche of posting—will bite him in the arse.

Bill Busch (Safeties Coach) is the one that should get credit for pulling Burrow out of Ohio, not Orgeron.

This is what we all wanted the moment the Kiffin deal was finalized.

It’s O’s natural position. He thrived in it at USC. This all goes without saying. Everyone knows.

I’m thinking ahead. If sark doesn’t make a big splash this season they could can him. Lane seems to be pretty tight with Sark. That’s potentially our next OC when Weiss gets plucked.
