Never invite a snake in your goldfish pond, he showed us who he REALLY is as a person.
Miles’s backstab surgery was extensive, he is a backbiter too….

[link=(Safeties coach should get credit for bringing Burrow to LSU )]LINK[/link] I guess that’s why a tearful Burrow when accepting the heismen trophy thanked coach O for the opportunity to come to LSU ……..

And people thought it was going to be a boring wait between baseball and football! In for the drama

Any reason this didn’t happen in the beginning?
Because Kiffin wanted to hire a legitimate DL coach, not a glorified bag man.

One thing is certain. If he’s willing to work for 100K, he’s scratching a broke arse. That buyout money has gone bye-bye.

It's the most LSU thing ever to rehire this clown. He's a snake oil salesman pure and simple. I hope Lane has eyes in the back of his head.
So true

Just think, no Coach O, no BK! That would have been a disaster. lol
I always think about had the 2011 team won the championship, would Les ever have gotten fired? We definitely wouldn’t have gotten Burrow and 2019 out of it all

Don't you get that any money or property Coach O had at the end of his LSU tenure was also divided in half at the time of divorce? Have you ever heard about income tax that takes 37% right off the top, property tax, brokers fees, etc. Not to mention he was maintaining a house in Baton Rouge and a condo on Miami Beach and had to buy gifts for his girlfriends. You are correct that I don't have proof of his finances but the circumstantial evidence is pretty strong. The main thing is that the $100,000 LSU is going to pay him this time is post divorce income that his wife can't touch, so he will be assured living expenses outside of the settlement. Oh yeah, wouldn't you love to see his lawyer fees as he went through the divorce and then when she sued for half the buyout and it was appealed several times?

not necessarily true, especially if he still owes her money, and she can ask for a new QDRO

Retrospective analysis can help if one learns from his mistakes. At the time no one would have been in favor of losing to the Gumps or keeping a clearly disinterested Ed Orgeron around.

Yes, I'm well aware of taxes, attorney fees and community property divorce rights. I get that he was going wild after his divorce, etc. But I also get that between his regular pay and buyout at LSU, he made 47 million dollars.
So let's go ahead and take a huge number and say that he blew 85% of that between taxes, his wife getting half, attorney fees, bimbo gifts/activities and red bulls. He would still have over 7 million dollars left. And that's just from his LSU pay and doesn't include all the money he made before LSU coaching at Ole Miss, USC, endorsements, etc. (minus the ex's half obviously).
