Clemson fans waking up to the truth about their team underDabo - from their board...

quote:

I saw several plays in which #74 and #77 completely whiffed on blocks. One of these dudes is 6-7 350. You'd think he could at least fall down and be a minor obstacle

They're big melting over there - sounds like our board last year starting with game 2. If it wasn't Clempson I might feel bad for them.

Nah, screw it. Let them burn.

The Clemson program is stale. Very few coaches can sustain the motivation like Saban did over a long period of time. Dabo is satisfied and refuses to change. It’s human nature.

They are what LSU would’ve been if they didnt fire Les Miles

My guess is that Dabo will finish the year there and then step away.

That dude needs like 2 yrs off.

He’s a good coach of a sport that doesn’t exist anymore.

He needs to take 2 yrs away, visit successful programs, and decide whether he can adapt and be successful under the new model. If not then just retire and do TV. He’d be good at that as well.

Clemson shouldn’t fire him. He is too important to the program. Let him go gracefully.

Now if he holds on for dear life and refuses to go…sure.

Not a good comparison. At the end of his tenure Les was stubborn and wasted good players with stale old-school gameplans.

I think Dabo at least tries to be more progressive - he just refuses to do what's necessary to being in players that can execute in a competitive way.

Like Saban said: "You can't coach bad players to be good".

As much as I wish this is how relationships in CFB ended, it’s simply not going to happen. He has over $50 Million left on his contract I believe he’s not voluntarily walking away from that.

. And at this point I doubt any boosters would step up to pay him to scram.

Hopefully dabo realizes it’s his team that is the one that’s actually “embarrassing”

Clemson must have set a P4 record in missed tackles last night. They should be embarrassed, and Dabo needs to retire imo

True, but they're still a bunch of graybeard fans trying to live in the past instead of the here and now reality.

They should have demanded better long before now. At least Tiger fans have no problem calling for the hook when our coaches need to go (see Miles, Les; Orgeron, Ed; Kelly, Bryan).

Imagine waiting all off season just to begin the season in the way they did. Especially after last year.
