re: Clemson: are they going to be better than last year? It’s hard to get a read on them.

Klempsons go to move? Try to take out the qb. That's how they will try to win

You guys sound reasonable but as a Clemson fan we have no idea. Eight returning starters this year, nine players drafted last year and we had the year we had? I don’t expect a win, what I expect to see is a historic game in a storied stadium.

When they hired back Chad Morris and only used the portal to fill emergency level critical needs it was obvious that Dabo is going all in on his holier than thou "my way or no way" philosophy.

While it wouldn't be shocking if this game is tougher than expected with Dabo's resistance to change it's hard to see a scenario where they are improved enough to win. On the other hand when you look at LSU's changes it's easy to see a scenario where we dominate.

The NIL era has not been kind to Clemson.

Dabo refusing to adapt has been hard on Clemson…

For sure. It’s a problem that he himself caused.

My biggest worry about the Clemson game is the mind set going in. LSU players are reading the rat poison that we will beat them big and that we have such a talented roster. I pray we don't overlook them thinking it'll be a walk in the park.

Clemson, on the other hand, is ripe for Dabo's "little ole Clemson" nonsense that he gets his teams motivated with. He has a million clips he can show his team of them being disrespected and doubted.

The main advatage we have going in is Tiger Stadium. I think that will be a real difference maker for us.

Even if our offense takes some time to gel, I expect our defense to be playing on fire game 1. You didn’t lose a ton off the defense last year, and what you did lose you replaced with better talent.

With all due respect, I am not sure that's 100% true.

DE - Princwell U is clearly better than the guys we had last year but both our DEs last year were far more proven than Ross. Hopefully he and Brown are good but we don't know.

DT - Guillory and Gooden were solid. We replace them with true freshman and guys who were on not great teams last year. Again, I am hopeful they are better but its not a fact.

CB - Delane was as good as we have had as a pure cover CB. I hope our guys are just as good but we have to see it.
