Spot on..neither Joe Montana or Steve Young had a rocket arm like Bradshaw but they both did okay.

Ole Miss may have the book, but the problem is that they don't know how to read
Well I am assuming their coaches are able to read and then verbally communicate what they read

His mobility opens up the run game..... they can’t dial up run blitzes every damn play.

It comes down to who can perform under pressure. When the defense isn't putting on a good rush, Finley looks fantastic, when they do, he gets happy feet and makes mistakes. Johnson is much better under pressure, which is what we will see most of the time. I'm sure in practice, without the fear of getting hit, Finley lights it up.

He’s the only one of our 3 QBs who can pick up first downs with his legs. That was huge for our running game.
Some people were actually trying to argue that Finley is a duel threat QB a few weeks ago

lack of turnovers and mobility are EVERYTHING.

As basic as it sounds, the biggest thing is Max's ability to complete simple passes.

The pass that he hit Jenkins with for the 1st score was a thing of beauty. Proves it’s great to have the 100mph fastball but having the touch to paint the corners is every bit as important.
That throw wasn’t as easy as it looked. He had to drop it over the LB but keep it in the field of play.

I agree that Finley can be very good. The problem I have is his inability to run from defenders to extend plays. If max can improve this week and being able to extend plays. Max, gives LSU a better chance to win games.

That's what killed Brandon Harris. He actually threw a pretty nice deep ball and had the arm to hit a deep out, but a lot of his short to intermediate throws were off the mark. Just hitting the short throws to move the chains or get a more manageable down and distance are critical.
Max did a good job of hitting the short throws in stride (had some receiver drops too). His next step in development is to hit more deep throws when the defense starts walking the safeties up because they don't respect the deep threat.

Tj played great against a shite team. Max and was the reason for one of the biggest upsets in the country.

Honestly, this isn’t what is important IMO.
If Burrow wasn't capable of picking up first downs with his legs we lose to Auburn, Florida, and Alabama in 2019 and the greatest team that ever was doesn't happen.

TJ just doesn't have it.. yet.
Yep, people giving up on Finley need to realize the dude was in HS a year ago. He will improve his presence and mechanics. Max is just ahead of him in this regard, right now..

Not necessarily, only if you want LSU to win , other then that there is no reason

TJ after watching him has mechanics that Not sure can fix, you can coach and try it, but his weight shifts to his back foot when he is pressured and he throws off his back foot and floats it.
It's all about whether he will recognize how important his footwork is. It can always be fixed. It's about repetition and attention to detail. It's premature to say that an 18 year old can't get better at something.

But of course a bunch of you will expect him to preform like he did against Florida and if he doesn't then the same people who is all pumped about him will be questioning the QB position all together despite the fact that Johnson and Finley are true freshman and both have more upsides than downsides.

Without a doubt. I’m not throwing in the towel on Finley, and both QBs need to continue to develop, but for the time being Max’s mobility and lack of turnovers absolutely gives him the nod. Having a QB with some mobility is very important when you have an OL that isn’t performing.

TJ seems to panic and leave the pocket,
TJ is too slow to run.
He needs to recognize his limitations and practice around them.
I noticed, he is better if he sets up and moves outside the tackle box and throws the ball away, rather than attempting to run. He loses less yards.
