Would you rather "caught, caught, touchdown, JACK HUNT!!!"??

I liked Hawthorne, but I enjoy Blair as well. I believe this has been said before, but people are going to prefer different guys based on who they grew up listening to. As good as Hawthorne was, the dude astounded me with how he could get calls wrong.

I mean, how the frick do you confuse Devery Henderson for Jack Hunt?! One guys black, the other is white!

It is Hank’s catch phrase but he says it because he’s a huge Stern fan/listener and that phrase is all over each Stern Show (the actual drop from Hank & Howard and lots of the callers say it)

And Bababooey to y’all

definitely preferred Fowler’s call.

I really like Fowler. Dude is a pro and very good across multiple sports. Someone posted him and Kirk chatting after the game on their flight and it was really cool.

It was bland and he doesn’t have the uniqueness of Hawthorne.

Hawthorne would have said Jack Hunt caught the 2-point conversion.

I don't know why people say this as a compliment.

He's waiting for the official signal from the ref.

Hawthorne sucked. He blew the Bluegrass Miracle call and countless others.

Chris Blair's worst call is better than Hawthorne's best. Jim was HORRIBLE at his job. The ONLY redeeming quality he had as an announcer was back in the old days when you were scanning the radio dial, his voice was UNMISTAKABLY LSU. That's the ONLY reason some on here hold him in high esteem.

I don’t have anything personal against Blair, but I think Fowler’s call hit harder & I never used to think that about national vs local calls.

One of my favorite calls of his is from the Florida game in 2019.

I really like that he refers to the team as The Fighting Tigers except for when he pays homage to Jim Hawthorne with "Tigers win, Tigers win".
