How do you get bad tackler from me saying he is average when he is at his best?

Or from me complimenting him on how he attacks sideways runners?

Yea I guess we ended up with the 3rd most snaps from freshmen in the nation by none of them playing.

Feel like I’m in the twilight zone. You can dislike like coach O & still acknowledge certain deficiencies of the team last season.

We had a few pass people up, but most of them played backup roles and special teams.

Those are facts.

Only about 6 true freshmen made real contributions.

And may

Right

And if you're really into disliking O then you can even blame him for some of the deficiencies!

Couldn’t agree more. It’s like hearing people say O couldn’t win with 3 potential 1st rounders. Key and Guice were no where near the player they could be because of injury but could still be drafted in the first round.

I was trying to explain to some of my friends earlier in the year that playing all these freshman is going to be what put O over the top in the future. By the time those 4700 snaps are Juniors coupled with good recruiting classes we will be nasty. Added the potential of quality QB play and Aranda.... for me, I see what he’s doing and I’m willing to give him some time to see how it plays out.

I would like to see snapcounts by players

I think a majority of those snaps will be Delpit, Greedy, Charles and Ingram.
Then Taylor Chaisson Vincent.

Then it will be pretty scattered amongst various players.

That’s 7 out of 22 starters or 32% of the team.

You mean most of the snaps will be from players who had significant playing time and/or started? No way!

No offense, and I’m not stumping for O here, but Key and Guice were injured for large portions of the season.

But that’s the things.

If we’re going to use this as an excuse and Greedy Williams makes up like 20% of those snaps, than how much of an excuse is it? Cause Greedy was a ducking Monster.

Our biggest issue was our offense sucked. We had 1 FR offensive starter for half the season. And only 2 for the other half. And Charles played better than Malone. So are FR the reason our offense sucked or was it that we had a fricking mess in the coaching department and a 5th year senior who can’t hit the deep ball in stride?

Doubtful that he makes up 20% of the snaps though

You're just pulling a number out of thin air and running with it

Well that’s when iwant know snap counts. Regardless we sucked when we weren’t playing 2 FR on the online.

And that’s not youth. When Malone was in the lineup we had a RSSR RAJR RSJR FR AND JR on the OLine. RS SenQB. 2 SR WR. A JR running back. And a SR FB.

We were not young on offense when we lost to Troy. We just sucked.

Fair enough, but I clarified myself. My point was he isn’t getting drafted because of his tackling.

I don’t see your point. The criteria is the same for every team. Whatever what you keep trying to slice it, that is a lot of freshmen snaps.

I think guice will go in the 1st without question, Im not so sure that saquon Barkley is a better rb either. It wouldn't surprise me if guice ends up being the better back in the nfl. Barkley will be drafted before guice bc of the hype though. They will both go 1st round and probably in the first 20 picks.

Then factor in we played the 3rd most freshmen snaps of any P5 school.

Just stop it. LSU had something like 20 upperclassmen in their 2 deep.

Just because O trotted out a bunch of freshman against BYU and Chattanooga does not mean LSU was “young” in 2017
