O is completely insulated from the transfer of FOUR offensive linemen in one offseason. He has nothing to do with that whatsoever.

O line wasn’t depleted when O took over. People just pretend it is because O started true freshmen.
O and Grimes picked the best 5. They could have played Clapp at Guard and Cushenberry at Center. Of played Magee at Guard. They chose to play Clappa t Center and Ingram at RG.

I'm not shitting on Donte. I think he will do well and hope he gets drafted early.

Anyone else read “Charlie Casterly Rock draft?”

He's actually a very sure tackler and just had a couple bad plays at bad times so people remember him for that. Very solid corner back for us. Sometimes I think people on this board don't even watch LSU football.
I saw both. I watched him make some plays on the ball as a DB, but also give up some. I also watched him take some bad angles into the backfield and miss on tackles that were there for the taking.
Guy is fast, no doubt, but sorry I just don't see the 1st rd selection cited by this mock draft.

Also a number of lineman left while on O’s watch. But people want to keep blaming miles.

So at first it was lack of talent, now it's injuries. I like the strategy, start out with general excuses, then whittle them down as necessary.
Find how many teams are super successful when their best player on offense & defense are both hurt.
Then factor in we played the 3rd most freshmen snaps of any P5 school.
These aren’t excuses. These are things that actually happened. Try disputing it instead of just calling it an excuse. We know you can’t

Who was coach during the offseason?

Bad tackler
4th on our team in solo tackles each of the last 2 years. bad tacklers dont do that

Jackson is a well-rounded prospect in that he will support the run. He routinely hustles to the football and doesn’t hesitate to attack. The only problem is that his smaller and slight frame will limit his upside as a tackler.

They are excuses
Delpit didn’t start because he had to. We thought he was the best man for the job.
Ingram didn’t start at RG because he had too.
We could have played Magee at LT instead of Charles
But again we liked Charles.
Outside that we have minimal Freshmen in significant roles, and those freshmen played well.
Hell Taylor outplayed Alexander all season.

so you think our backups are worse than troy's starters?

He doesn’t mind attacking a ball carrier if they are running sideways. If they are moving up field he wants nothing to do with it. Those thing combined make him an average tackler on his best day.
Posted on 2/15/18 at 12:01 pm to Lester Earl
He’s just light and not likely to be able to drag down bigger receivers he’s running with.
It’s not like he was coming downhill at either of the TDs he gave up. He was trying to tackle them
From behind.

he his a solid tackler in comparison to other cbs and people paid to evaluate talent agree.

Some people just want to bitch
There is plenty to bitch about without just completely disregarding facts

Tory carter
Greedy Williams
Kary Vincent
Chaisson
Deculus
Phillips
All had never played a college snap before this year

I don’t know why you think that would be so far fetched.
3rd & 4th year players at a solid program like Troy are very capable of getting the best of younger players.

Perhaps it speaks to the talent of the aforementioned players if the coaches thought the true freshman were better than them?
You act like O is over here starting true freshman over first round draft picks. Simply not the case.

Lol no he isn’t. I’ve watched every snap the kid has ever played. He does not like head on contact & that will be a problem when you have to tackle men.

because we have nfl takent in our backups and troy diesnt have single player with a draft grade.
troy doesnt have single 4 star player on roster.
come on LE.
