On NFL.com has 3 Tigers in 1st round. Key, Guice and surpise surprise Jackson. His latest was published on 02/13/18. I was thinking 3rd or 4th round for Jackson

O was handed a depleted, talentless team though. What an insult that excuse was to the hard working players who have been busting their asses for 3-4 years.

uh what.. he was graded out as one of the top corners this year by PFF and hes going to absolutely smoke the combine. he might break the 40 record. shoulda known better.

People only remember like 3 plays from him where he lost his mind, but overall he was a really good player.

frick off, Dave. Did Key play much? How effective was he this season? Guice took the Fournette path from a year ago, he couldn't get healthy and missed games. Was Williams the better runner this year? Jackson played well at time. He has speed and will test well.

Must have touched a nerve. I guess in the mad dash to defend 0 at all costs, you pumpers didn't see that the "lack of talent" defense insulted all of the players on the team.

quote:

Did Key play much? How effective was he this season?

He was injured, but quite effective when he played. Granted he was not his former elite self due to the injury, but still an above-average player.

quote:

Guice took the Fournette path from a year ago, he couldn't get healthy and missed games

He was injured early in the season, but the offense rode him the entire latter half of the season. He was and is a stud RB.

quote:

Was Williams the better runner this year?

No, but he was another very talented player that O inherited.

quote:

Jackson played well at time. He has speed and will test well.

No, he played well for the majority of the time. He's a good player that O inherited.

Hope it works out for these guys.

I am as nega-O-tive as the next guy, but just refuse to get on here and rag on O anymore. What’s the point - he won’t be here for an extended period, the negativity has consumed this site and grown tiresome.

The dude shits in every thread. #2 post in the thread about the draft and he enters and drops the deuce.

You idiots are comical. I don't get upset. Telling someone to "frick/piss off" doesn't mean I'm mad. It means I think you're a f'n mouth breather.

I don't like O but he is the coach for now. Get your shite together.

Jackson might run a sub 4.4 forty, and as we all know, there is A LOT of emphasis placed on the forty.

And our players are still LSU players.

Why throw them under the bus to defend an incompetent boob?

It’s like people shitting on Ben Simmons because he couldn’t drag Johnny Jones to a
Championship

Jackson is purely a speed guy. He is undersized and we all saw many times how bad of a tackler he is. Oh yeah did he not get yanked as the punt returner because of his less than average ball skills?

O took over a team with talent. As a fan though you should be able to agree that neither Key or Guide were no where near 100% for the vast majority of the season. Players can be good and injured and affect the outcome of a season and still get drafted high.

He made like 5 huge plays in the Auburn game that people like to ignore while shutting on him.

Really 2 missed tackles on receivers that probably weighted 30 pounds
More than him is all people remember.

Not sure there is any "might" about it.

He's a great sprinter in the 60m at the top level of NCAA and is training at Michael Johnson's track center for this where he's been clocked at 4.24.

A lot of the 40 is getting out of the block quickly and track guys have a big advantage there. Trindon Holliday had a couple bad runs when he wasn't feeling well and clocked 4.34. I expect around that number for Jackson.

He's actually a very sure tackler and just had a couple bad plays at bad times so people remember him for that. Very solid corner back for us.

Sometimes I think people on this board don't even watch LSU football.

Defend? I wasn't defending him. I was trying to set him straight.

Don't be so sensitive. I wasn't throwing them under the bus. My point was that 3 yutes in question, will potentially be 1st round talent and had LSU had them playing the entire season like they were 1st round talent maybe we win a couple that we lost. It's debatable but worth mentioning.

Defensively, no, but they lost the ND game because of ignorant play. Offensively, you KNOW the deficiencies were real. Jackson was brilliant one minute and the next blew coverage or whiffed spectacularly on a tackle. You saw that unless you, like many, are echoing what you heard.
