Can the team entrance be improved?

19 days from getting to see our Tigers play in Tiger Stadium again... was just thinking about the excitement we'll be feeling right before the team comes out of the tunnel. Been thinking the last few years that the audio/video sequence could be done better in those last few minutes of pregame.

Always considered Va Tech's entrance to be the gold standard of team entrances. The way they build energy with Enter Sandman playing for a good 30 seconds before the team runs out is perfection. LINK

Will we see anything different this year? Should we?

okay... if we have to critique this I'll say this:

The original 'Saturday Night in Death Valley' was PERFECT. The original narration by the movie guy (name escapes me) was timed and read perfectly. I love Dan Borne but his narration of video is awkwardly slow and painful to listen to. The latest version, including former LSU Football greats, is a great homage to the past but it too is awkwardly spoken and feels hollow, even coming from them.

We used to play the intro to 'Welcome to the Jungle' by Guns N' Roses which sounded badass, but we stopped that for some reason.

Dan Borne, an excellent Public Address guy, has to repeat himself a couple of times per team entrance. "Ladies and Gentlemen...... ladies and gentlemen, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, here come your Fighting Tigers of LSU!"

VaTech has a cool entrance, but anything remotely close to using Enter Sandman would be cheap mimicry.

Something needs to be done to liven it up a bit, it feels robotic

Personally I’ve always imagined LSU coming out to thunderstruck would be epic. Lower the lighting, let the beginning play entirely through, then once they say “you’ve been thunderstruck!” The lights come on and the regular routine ensues with them running out and the fireworks.

Don't we now have a "Tiger Fan Council" for stuff like this?

As of the Alabama game last year, we were still doing welcome to the jungle

Let's not overthink this:

* Have a small highlight package featuring moments from last year. Include 1 or 2 classics like Bring Back the Magic & Leonard Fournette murdering people.

* Coach O: "We comin'"

* Team Explodes out of the chute.

Add a song that gets the place rocking and I'm sold.

The only thing that sucks is the visiting team tries to enter at the same time so we can't tiger bait their arse

man you are right that video from the Ole Miss game is pathetic you have to get the crowd hyped a little. Hell let Tyrann Matheiu give a hype speech to some good music. Anything but what was last year.

I'm a fan of a version of this. Most of our games are against traditional foes. Why not have the AV folks put together team specific highlights for each game? How hard would it be to put together a 2 minute highlight reel for all of our traditional SEC foes and a handful of regular OOC teams if we've played them enough and then just a generic for teams we've never played or haven't played often?

Maybe not for right as the team runs out, but as part of late pregame.

This X 1000. I don't know why they had to change it. The original version was perfection.

Miles always brought the team out too early. The video wasn't even over and here they come. I like the one we had for one of Saban's seasons that showed the team on the other side of the doors about to come out.

Maybe because Auburn's been doing it for years.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I'm not a fan of having the team run out to some rock, heavy metal, rap, or pop BS. Same with the cheesy pyrotechnics. I do like the cannon we used to have though.

Getting rid of the cannon would be a great improvement. Probably the fireworks too.

Nothing will ever top the team’s entrance under Les, and that is no slight to Orgeron.

LSU’s entrance under Les was by far the best in all of college football, IMHO.

To reiterate, I am in no way criticizing Orgeron. Those were big shoes to fill, especially with regard to the way the team exited the tunnel and entered onto the field.

It can be improved with one change. Purple smoke and PLAY JIMI HENDRIX PURPLE HAZE !!!!!!! If you don't remember the beginning of that song go to spotify and listen. You know sometimes people in charge just don't have a clue. Purple Haze will wake up the fans. I guarantee it.
