Our entrance is always just "oh look there they are"

Our seats are in the bottom corner of the NEZ where the team comes out. It's far from "oh there they are".

I hate pretty much everything about Aggy but their entrance is awesome, they come out to power by Kanye West and the whole stadium is into it, honestly its probably the loudest their stadium gets on gamedays

Right after the "We comin" play IDGT by Kevin Gates. Gets the players going and the fans. Enough of the 80's Rock music...

They should incorporate the O quote we coming and ain’t backing down somehow. That’s a solid quote.

Les holding the team back was the goat. I understand why O can’t copy it but it was always awesome.

2009 LSU intro

This one was great. Plenty of old and new highlights and the song got faster toward the end when the team was going to come out.

The background music in the 2018 version was ok, but the execution with the former players reading Borne's statement was terrible. It really is perplexing because the LSU video people put out some really great hype videos but the entrance video is weak.

Let's not overthink this:

* Have a small highlight package featuring moments from last year. Include 1 or 2 classics like Bring Back the Magic & Leonard Fournette murdering people.

* Coach O: "We comin'"

* Team Explodes out of the chute.

Add this to the Thunderstruck idea above.

Song plays until “We are thunder struck.” Over dub Coach O saying “We Comin” at that point.

Every time the kick drum hits twice on “thun-der” the video boards flash BRIGHT. team runs out on “We Comin”

It’s fairly easy to sound loud when you have working speakers and you crank them all the way up.

If you were going to do a Hendrix song, Voodoo Chile would be the correct answer.

I would love to see the band choreographed to bring the team out by playing neck before TV cuts into the game.

The way they build energy with Enter Sandman playing for a good 30 seconds before the team runs out is perfection.

and then the play on the field sucks. VT can keep their sandman crap. I'll go for on the field perfection instead

My biggest gripe about the entrance is we've started playing Welcome to the fricking Jungle a few years ago. That's literally what Auburn calls their stadium and what they run out to. We have to come up with something unique. It drive me nuts. It is not a Tiger Stadium staple despite what the douchebag DJ says.

This is an article from a few years ago. This statement is so Joe fricking Alleva.

quote:

Huber, a Metairie native, worked in the athletic marketing department while obtaining two degrees from LSU. He started off sitting with the Golden Band from Tigerland during sporting events, cueing the band director when it was time for the marching band to play.

When Huber became a graduate assistant, he was promoted to DJ in Death Valley during football games, despite having no formal disc jockey experience.

“I just happen to be a pretty big fan of music,” Huber says.

When assembling each football season’s playlist, Huber draws inspiration from current Top 40 hits, while incorporating the Tiger Stadium musical staples: “Callin’ Baton Rouge,” Guns N’ Roses’ “Welcome to the Jungle” and Mel McDaniel’s “Louisiana Saturday Night.”

Once again, Bama runs out to Thunderstruck. We have plenty of unique songs from and about Louisiana. Find one and make it work.

Ok. Replace the song with something else. As long as it’s something that has some intensity to it.

yeah that poem needs to go... not entirely, its still good for promo videos, but starting off a football game with a poem about the stadium is kind of borderline ridiculous.

my dad told me a story something like LSU put out an open call for a poem about LSU football, and nobody wrote one, so Dan Borne came up with the pantheon on the bayou poem or whatever it is.

I like to picture my team entrance with huge angel wings singing lead vocals for Lynyrd Skynyrd, and I’m in the front row HAMMERED drunk...
