Can the police realistically curb the ghetto culture that has pervaded campus tailgating?

Just saw yet another video from our illustrious governor saying anyone caught smoking weed will be charged with a felony on school grounds. There will be a record number of police officers from all agencies on campus this weekend with zero tolerance.
How confident are you that they get a handle on the tailgating scene this year? Or is the North Gates video from a couple weeks ago a sign of what's to come this season?

The new weed laws give us some hope. Use simple broken window policing … Arrest, ticket, trespass and release after a cool down period off campus. Oncethe word gets out.. that element will stay away..

They'll have to enforce it and not back down.
And it will take time, since these aren't exactly rocket scientists so you'll get people who keep doing it after others get nabbed.
Eventually the trashy types will decide to stay away.

The parade grounds will be a massive issue. In previous years it has only been IFC fraternities. This year D9 fraternities and sororities also have reserved spots. I guarantee their tailgate setups are not nearly as big and they do not provide alcohol for actives and girls like IFC chapters do. There are constantly fights at IFC tailgates from outsiders trying to get into the tent and get free alcohol even though they are not affiliated with that chapter or any fraternity. Bringing the problems from Unity Field onto the parade grounds worse. Hoping for a large police presence out there.

Yeah….getting rid of unity field was the wrong idea. Leave it and police the frick out of it. Now the parade grounds will be ruined.
Way to make all the undergrad suffer and potentially get shot at. It’s actually insane. Unity field causes a shooting so shut it down and bring it to parade grounds? The only good thing br left is tailgating for college kids and now that’s ruined.
Parade grounds will get shut down by week 3 and get told to tailgate at frat houses. Just watch. No amount of police is going to stop the ghetto bullshite about hit campus Saturday
