Practicing for the 2027 season by diving over the couch. I’ll send footage to Etling for his XFL career.

He was looking forward to losing and it be easy to top the record he did this 2017 season. That simple of logic. I had forgotten bout it til you brought it up. Why did ya have to keep that fresh again?

I didn't say I agreed with it. I thought the "for some reason" line in my post might have given that away.

To take the lead and win the game.

That said, I would have gone for it for all the reasons mentioned.

This was not a good reason.
The attempt for a TD probably was a better bet than another FG attempt, even from that close in.

1. We had just got our asses handed to us on 1st and goal from the one a couple series earlier

2. We got our asses handed to us on 3 straight plays prior to the 4th down.

3. What makes you think we make it on this attempt?

4. Defense has been playing lights out, plus we have Aranda. So 3 points should hold up.

5. See 1 and 2 again. Plato once said that the definitiuon of moronity is trying the same thing and expecting a different result

6. Only way I go for it there on 4th is if we pass the ball to a TE or Carter sneeking out into the end zone. Feilod goal seemed safer.

Actually, ND had just gone done the field with ease for a TD on the previous drive.

QB to easily hop a foot or two and stretch the ball over the goal line which my 9 year old could have done

So does a TD.

Understand your point, but I’m pretty sure you’re thinking of Einstein and insanity

FG is the higher percentage play. I don't agree with it, mostly because it's a useless bowl game, but if you think we convert there just because we're a foot away you're foolish.

Remember the Florida game? Remember the Bama game with Copeland? Not always a sure thing and it's easy to criticize it after the defense lost the game. He's not great at his job, but don't be dumb. It gave us the lead.

No matter what he did, you would have started a thread because he didn't do the opposite if we were somehow stuffed on the goal line or fumbled.

What worries me is that if he won't go for it in an exhibition, what's he gonna do if he happens to find himself in a game with a chance to keep LSU in the hunt for a trip to Atlanta?

I have it on good authority that he did that just to stir up the snowflakes on the Rant and give them something to bitch about.
