Pearson looked comfortable in the 9 hole. If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it.

Nope.

If Crews is going to lead off, you should have him followed by Tre, White, and Travinski and probably Jobert. Pearson has the lowest OPS in today’s lineup. That’s supposed to be your 8 or 9 hitter, not 2nd.

Dude did you literally just make up his stay line? Or purposefully leave out his best games? Or both? Come on clown.

It’s awful.

Dugas
Morgan
Crews
White

Should be set in stone. Ride the horse that got you there.

I do like this, and we'll see how it lands for the regional.

But to be completely fair, Dugas has struggled although still good OBP. The lineup needs Trav somewhere. I think he's catcher with Floyd, but then DH otherwise. Also ends up R/L/R/R and if you add in Trav at 5, another R.

I don't see Jay doing that.

After the first time through the lineup you’d have Pearson, Morgan, Crews, White, Travinski. Today you had Crews, Pearson, White, Travinski, Morgan.

Not saying he should be 2. Just wondering why you’d want him at 9 and in the midst of those guys. If he’s so bad, wouldn’t you want him around 7? The 9 hole you really want someone that can get you back to the top of the lineup. It’s huge late in the game especially.

He had been pretty hot up to this point and not to mention this lineup has produced a total of 23 hits and 14 runs in the last two games combined. Maybe it’s not necessarily the lineup . It’s just yesterday wasn’t the best when it comes to timely hitting.

He’s trying to find something that clicks considering this doesn’t mean much

220 avg with a .400 OB is not a 2 hole hitter.

Obviously CJJ has seen something in practice and knows Pearson is no longer a 220 hitter.

If the 9 hole hitter is producing a lot more than folks above him, then it’s broken and needs to be fixed. You just proposed that when batters are hitting well they should not be moved up. I think we all agree that when they are hitting poorly they should not be moved up, so when can they?

Dugas has been close to an auto out lately, unless he gets hbp.

Just the potential for more at bats to groove his swing, same with Crews at #1. They know he’s better than he’s shown

Pearson has been great lately but it’s unrealistic to expect him to hit lefties consistently (don’t know the numbers but naked eye test, he’s been decent vs Lh).

All that to say, he was completely lost vs 96 from the left side. As did Jobert. And milazzo, tho not a lefty. Those 3 looked really bad

And why is our slugger leading off?? Would not you want him like in cleanup position.

Your best hitter should atleast be top 2 in your order. Get more at bats for your best bats.

Honestly Morgan should be first like he used to be IMO. He gets on base a lot and is fairly quick. Then if Crews gets a HR it won't be a solo.

He has a BB or HBP in 13 of his last 53 PA in SEC play. Even though he’s only batting .225 in that span, his OBP is .415. He’s finding ways to get on base and help the team.
