Get stops.

Starting with the second half of the Arkansas game opponents have had 15 possessions (not counting the final possession for Arkansas that started with 4 seconds left). This is the outcome of those possessions.

9 TDs
3 FGs
2 punts
1 TO on downs

Let's say Missouri gets 9 possessions in the game. Getting stops on 5 of those should be a reasonable goal. Not expectation. GOAL

If we beat Mizzou by 17+ and D plays even 40% better it will help. Arkansas upsetting Ole Miss Saturday night to go along with that would be a total attitude changer.

Win convincingly with a good defensive showing.

Get stops on third down! I will calm down and stop melting if we can get off the field on third downs.

The D could put up the best defensive performance in the history of college football and I'd call it fools gold.

They have sucked all year long, except against a retarded Miss St. offense. If they happen to have a great defensive game, more than likely it's some kind of horrible mistake by Mizzou than some wizardry from House and the players.

Offense keeps on humming and the defense keeping teams under 30 ppg would be a great bounce back.

No, all of the people with room temperatures smell blood. They have forgotten the job Kelly in taking over a train wreck of a program and winning the SEC West. The offense is rebuilt ( we do lose some valuable pieces next year though); the defense is not. The great majority of our starters were not recruited LSU and should not be starting for LSU.

I’m here

I wait all year for this shite so I’m riding regardless of what our record/outlook is. I want to win every week, frick what happened ‘last week’

This.

It's only here 4 months out of the fricking year. Yes the losses suck, but I will enjoy every game I possibly watch. Still good entertainment for me and a great way to get together with family/friends in the fall.

absolutely. If they win this week I’d bet LSU will be 6-2 and ranked in the top 15 of the first CFP poll going into Bama week.

tRant would change their tune at that point and it’ll feel like we control our own destiny again to win the SEC. Ole Miss has to play AT UGA later this year so just need to keep winning.

this 100% i was a fan in the Archer Dinardo years so i have seen what the bottom looks like....we have been spoiled

I was around them too. But just because it was worse back then doesn’t mean we should be happy with underperformance now.

hould be enough to win games with toughest left at Bama

I don’t think Bama will be an easy game and they will/should be favored.

But, because of their QB issues I think that’s the best matchup currently for our defense

No. Hiring a guy born in 1941 to fix the defense sealed it.

This. Get off the field on third down. We're currently 117th place at 47% conversion rate. Give me something around 30-35% this game and I'll calm down. That would be a top 15-25 average, and on par with some very average power 5 schools. I'm only asking for a week to week improvement

Fundamentally sound tackling.
Cohesive D Line play.
Idk about most, but that will calm me way down.
