the whole Manning klan combined has same number of SEC titles as Jordan Jefferson.

There is NO WAY you are a LSU fan. No way. Troll post.
Not a lifelong fan. I became one after watching Myles Brennan play ball at St Stanislaus for a few years and then commit to LSU. Being married to a NOLA girl didn't hurt either.

It goes back to Prohibition days when the Mannings were bootleggers and refused to sell their illicit hooch to speakeasies in Louisiana. We've hated them ever since

We didn’t win the national championship in 1969 because we couldn’t tackle Archie. Then the rest of the family spurned LSU.
That is your answer. Seems like good enough reasons to me.

I don’t have any bad feelings toward the mannings personally. I actually like the family. I know Archie had a heated rivalry with LSU when he played and I get that. But he came to the saints and gave it his all and I feel the family has gave back plenty to the city and community.
People hating on the Manning kids for not coming to LSU is what I don’t get. 1.) LSU was absolute dog shite as a program at the time and pretty much all top LA high school kids went to out of state. Ed Reed, Warrick Dunn for example. It wasn’t until Saban when that changed. And 2.) they were raised Ole Miss fans from birth. Just bc you are born and raised in a certain state doesn’t automatically mean you need to have allegiance to that states university. I was born and raised in central FL to a LA family who bleeds purple and gold and I hate the fricking gators more than any other team out there.

The Rant doesn’t Hate the Mannings as much as the Mannings Hate LSU , therefore after long consideration and soul searching -/ the first 3 little piggies went elsewhere/ to not upset Boss Pig/ now one of the little piggies had a lil piggy of his own/ not to upset Grandad Pig he will not attend LSU either. All because the Big Bad Wolf LSU blew his Grandads house down in the late 60s.

None of the Mannings went to LSU. It's literally that simple.

If Archie had played for any team other than the Saints then this wouldn’t even be a question.
The Manning’s care not a bit for LSU

Besides Arch Manning...
Speaking of this guy, who names their kid after an architectural feature? I'm not naming one of my kids "Dormer" or "Fluted Column." (but, I bet there are people out there with the first name "Gable"...)

If you're not an LSU Tiger, you're shite. Pretty good starting point.

Archie Manning was born in Drew, Mississippi.
The Manning family home and farm was about to be taken from them by the bank. The bank that owned the mortgage happen to be run by an Ole Miss alum. Somehow the moment Archie signed with Ole Miss, their families money trouble went away and they were no longer in jeopardy of losing their home. Archie went on to play for Ole Miss, a hated rival of LSU.

Cooper Manning (Arch's dad) "played" at Ole Miss as well.
I wish all of them would move to Mississippi ASAP. Or Texass. Or anywhere but Louisiana.

Archie Manning is an Ole Miss guy from the late ‘60’s/early’70’s. Ole Miss vs LSU was a seriously heated and hated rival. That’s why Ole Miss hates LSU to this day and we always get their best effort. Those kids and grandkids were raised hating LSU. Although I really believe it is and always has been truly their choices where they play, it was never gonna be LSU because they simply hate LSU. All that being said, I always liked the Mannings but some here hate them. To each their own.
Jesus dude. You think maybe they wanted to follow in their father’s/grandfather’s footsteps? Or maybe play for a great Tennessee team instead of dumbass Curley Hallman? Peyton even said had Cooper not been injured, he would’ve followed him to Ole Miss. who gives a shite where they were raised they’re Ole Miss thru and thru.

It's more of the Manning's Family hatred of LSU.
If you have any doubt on the Manning's family hatred for LSU just look at the end of the 30 For 30 "The Book of Manning." Watch the closing credits as Archie is sitting on his stoop with his grandkids. He asks them what college did they want to attend. Watch how he snaps his head and shoots his grandson (could have been Arch) a dirty look when he says, "LSU."
The kid only did it because he KNEW -- even as a kid -- the rise it would get out of Archie. The entire family has been brainwashed since birth to HATE everything LSU.
THAT is all you need to know/see.

By the same token I don't understand why some deify the Mannings just because the old man played for the Saints 50 years ago. They may live uptown, wear button downs and send their kids to Newman. But as the cringeworthy Caesars commercial shows, they're just Mississippi rednecks who'll do anything for a buck.

In that case welcome. Hope that you’ve researched the secret handshake and know full well the Tiger Rant expectation of 1 in every 3 posts makes zero sense and should have been a “Dear Diary” entry by the OP.
