Can anyone point to an area of improvement from last year?

Doesn’t seem like we actually spent much time getting better in the months from January till now.

DT depth was there. We need to see more JJ and less Guillory

Special Teams was vastly improved even if it wasn’t perfect

Reduction in penalties, but that could also point to a lack of aggressiveness.

We had fewer muffed punts in game 1 this year than we did in game 1 last year

The kicking game was better, but we had the muffed punt and almost had another before that one, so we still had some major issues.

There wasn't much improvement that anyone could point to other than we were much better in the first half this year on offense. We had 17 points and almost 300 yards at half.

Kicker and punter are both really good. I thought coverage teams were better.

Anderson was underwhelming but I think I’m gonna chalk that up with him trying to do too much.

I don't consider running the ball out of the end zone on KOs to the 15 yard line twice improvement

As a matter of fact, Anderson didn't receive the last KO, it was the initial punt returner that didn't muff, and he smartly stayed in the end zone

You might feel like giving ST the benefit of the doubt, and that's okay, but IMO, that's not significant improvement.

For those willing to actually look at the film, JD did a better job staying the pocket, going thru progressions. He didn't bolt at the first crease in the blocking.
Overall, better special teams, but that isn't saying much.

It was one game against a team that was better than LSU. Might want to see how the season progresses before jumping off the bridge

We got a completely blocked defense in the 2nd half on the other hand.

To be fair, probably lose last year by 14 if they don't pitch it in the red zone.
