CPM was very upset in postgame interview, saying he is sick and tired of starting pitchers underperforming. Said Sanders will get 1 more chance, before he has to find another midweek guy.

Lol....It's such a competitive gig.... That's what midweek is for....giving your young guys a chance to get some action. Paul could give a shite about mid-week wins. They don't matter.

Sky is falling? The next Aaron Nola hit a batter on 1st pitch of game, 4 pitch walk, single, wild pitch, single. 3 runs, no outs.

What the hell do you want him to say?

WTF should we coddle freshman starters when they come in and shite the bed? These guys are highly touted out of HS at least get in there and throw the ball over the plate Jesus.

Yeah, typical Paul. Maybe he should consult with King if New Orleans on public relations and roster management

Sanders is a JUCO guy. Maybe CPM meant he was the next Austin Nola?

Amen!
Is Paul wrong? Many of you complain about the same thing! If the coach says it, he gets blasted for “throwing players under the bus.” If he doesn’t, he’s “coddling the players.”
Where are our steely eyed warriors? Guys who are automatic? These guys are too full of emotion when they’re on the mound. This is the difference between what LSU was and what LSU is. It’s also the difference between championship caliber FU and runner up LSU. The players are too soft. Maybe Paul has the right idea. If you want Bertman level success, you talk the talk and demand the players fall in line.

I think 2 of the 3 starters who started the first weekend will be different by the start of SEC play. I do believe Gilbert will still be a weekend starter but Hess & Peterson will have different roles. It's still too early yet. Lots of talent on this staff just unproven now.

This team has a lot of depth in the bullpen. Maybe they will be like the State team team that made it to Omaha from a couple of years ago. Starters go 4-5 innings and the bullpen takes over from there. Getting Storz and Labas back will help but coming off injuries makes it tough to be a starter out the gate.

Typical CPM BS. The kid starts rocky but doesn't get any help from Feduccia. That was not a wild pitch, it was actually close to a strike but it shot out of Feduccia's glove like it was a rocket for a passed ball. Then he gives up two bloopers including one that was off the handle. Neither was hit hard enough to worry about and good chance that Cole Freeman might have caught one of them.
But CPM marches out and grabs the ball, doesn't even look at Sanders or pat him on the butt or anything. Acts like a little punk that didn't get his way. I don't understand how CPm doesn't get that kids don't respond to being treated like Sh*t all the time. He acts like Sanders intentionally walked one and hit the other one. Geez, it was his first appearance in The Box. I think he would have settled down and done ok as he was around the zone for the last couple batters with good velo.
