Caden Durham apparently has been injured worse than last year.

Asked about being injured this year:

Have you been playing through some stuff this year? “Yeah but everybody plays through some stuff in football, so that’s no excuse”

Is it as bad as the foot last year? Ponders…… “Uhhhhhhhhhhh it’s a little worse, but like I said, everybody plays through stuff, so it ain’t nothing”

What is it? “We don’t need to disclose that. It is what it is. I’m good”

Also asked about Harlem Berry sliding….. What does it say about him having the maturity to slide in that situation? “He had to slide. If he didn’t slide, you know, y’all wouldn’t see him no more” (Everyone cracked up laughing)

Why is college football so weird about disclosing injuries?

“I’m not nearly as good as my preseason predictions so I’m going hint that I’m hurt but not tell you what it is.”

The burst we saw last year against USCe is nowhere to be found.

Still can’t believe that run vs Vandy where he looked like he ran a 4.8 40 and got chased down at the 1 and then we settled for a FG to make it 31-24. In a late game like that, needing a FG to tie vs a TD to win is game changing

If people can't see that Nuss and Durham were dealing with injuries this year, they just didn't watch these dudes last year

Nuss still made dumb decisions on a consistent basis. Has his brain been injured the last two years also?

Unfortunately the primary injury is lack of chest

I've never seen a team with more nagging injuries that seriously affect their performances than this one. Whatever coach comes in, they need to completely overhaul the medical, strength and conditioning, and sports psychology departments. I mean this is insanity.

I feel like we're back to the Paul Mainieri pitcher "arm soreness" days.

I don’t understand why people keep saying shite like this. No one on this board is claiming that Nuss doesn’t make some bad decisions. We are talking about why he has regressed from last year.

Exactly. He's always been reckless but more or less made up for it with production. But even at his very best he was a dollar store Brett Favre without the fearless running. This year . . . WTF?

It’s wild that him and Nuss are basically in the same situation yet treated so differently by the fanbase

Durham is super fast, ran a 10.43 100m or such in high school. It's pretty obvious he's running at 85-90%. If we can get him and Berry running healthy and well next year, we may see some long TD runs.
