There's a real possibility that Texas could have upcoming losses to Mizzou and LSU. The rumor, regardless of how far-fetched it may or may not be, is that Sark could be gone in that scenario and a big interest/potential emerges for Coach Stein to leave Kentucky and take the reigns of a much bigger program with much deeper pockets.

If that were the case and another coach left one SEC school for another SEC, especially if Kentucky keeps winning, makes it to SECCG amd maybe even CFP...would there be anywhere near as much hatred against him as we saw with Lane?

No, bashing Klien will never draw the clicks that bashing Lane brings, it would be a waste of their time…

Of fricking course not.

Because Texas is Texas! and LSU is merely LSU.

And Lane Kiffin is all that is wrong with college football.

Very few people even know the name off Kentucky’s coach. Even now. Everybody knows of Lane Kiffin, long before we took him.

There are probably more that know Joey Freshwater than know Stein.

Yeah… but MEGA BUCKS $$$$$$$ tend to change that sentimental feeling

Also, you win a natty at Texas, and you could bet set for life……

You get hired by Texas from UK and you are set for life. No need to even be above 0.500 win percentage.

Money, HS talent within the state, resources, and paying zero state tax, thats why. Yall are too obsessed with "he loves this and he was born in that," crap. Cash and a better opportunity will always win.

Kentucky fans would be pissed, but nobody else would give a shite. And because they have so little respect as a football program, there would be no outpouring of opinion like there was on Lane.

The other side of the coin is how much time Kiffin has spent in the SEC and how many programs have reasons to feel something about him. UT fans still hate him at a ridiculous level after one season years ago. Bama fans hate how he acted and his time ended. Auburn and UF fans feel burned by him not going there. Ole Myth fans are obviously the ultimate jilted lovers.

Stein has been here for 5 minutes. No one outside of Kentucky feels that strongly about him yet.

Klein also is doing all of this in year one and hasn’t been stringing Kentucky along with potential to leave.
