No other choice is possible.

Many schools will be making runs at him to more than double his current salary.

After what I saw last weekend, I am convinced that Georgia will be making that call.

The current situation has been successful beyond anyone's dreams, but the power structure has to change if the key pieces are to remain in place for a while longer.

Here's hoping we have the forward thought to do the right thing.

But why? Why do you frickers always want to fix something that isn’t broken. “Offense averaging over 500 yards and almost 50 a game hmmm let’s change shite”. Jesus fricking Christ let the season play out lil fella

I mean if Ensminger wants to return and they work in tandem for another season, I don't see the rush in passing the title. I will say that LSU better make that move if he gets offers to leave.

Yeah, we need to turn to Rouge for decision making because Orgeron is clearly not doing the job.

Curious. Who knows if Brady wishes to coach QBs or stay with the receivers?

i don't think this would really be "changing" anything

SE slides back to "TE coach" and Brady is promoted to OC and gets a pay bump. nothing really changes except Brady gets a little more leeway

Because if we don't give Brady a promotion, he may leave. Then that would really break things.

Why don't we wait and see how things shake out?

LSU will pay top dollar to keep him, and for all we know, there may already be something in place. Let's give O the benefit of the doubt that he'll do what's necessary to keep his guy.

If we don't make a change, Brady will get multiple offers that he cannot refuse.

Understand?

I agree. But for everyone thinking it will mess up a good thing.. I don’t see why they can’t still work together in the box and game planning..
E has pretty much openly admitted he is perfectly fine being a position coach which I would imagine means he’s fine with the matching pay..
But Brady’s young with stars in his eyes and wants his worth.
I think they might make him OC or OC in waiting and give him lots of money and let E be TE/QB coach. Seems E always has a great relationship with the QB’s and his nickname is “Slinger”.
Main point. I think it’s Brady’s job title next year but they’ll both still work together.

Also, can’t wait to see how this season affects recruiting

Sure. If Brady is willing to turn down multiple offers to be an OC elsewhere. But are you going to let him walk out the door because we didn't offer him an OC position?

One thing is for certain: Brady has to stay on staff and as a coach. A coach because of new-ish NCAA rules regarding non-coaches in the booth and recruiting.

There are several options here to accomplish this. Which one we take is going to based on Brady and what he wants and his timeline.

Yes, promotion with accompanying raise to OC is one of them. Thankfully we have E who is all Tiger and that wouldn't bother him one bit. By the way, we need to keep E as a coach for a variety of reasons also, one of them being recruiting.

Depending on Brady, he could get an additional position as WR and QB coach and a huge raise making him the highest paid WR/QB coach ever.

Could just pay the man. Again, depending on what Brady is looking for and when.

Remember, we do not know if Brady even like recruiting. We saw what happened to our LBs and DL when our DC (Chavis) didn't like recruiting. Not saying he doesn't like it, or that he can't (I'm assuming he can and will). But whatever happens with Brady will be determined how he feels about such things.

Also remember: If on the off chance he doesn't like recruiting and it comes down to money... whomever is trying to hire him away will expect him to recruit. Period. We could make arrangements.

I “think” this is the year that SE hits the mark for full retirement from the state. So this may take care of itself after the season ends. Which may have been the plan all along

It could be a shaky season with no Burrow

The plot twist is that Brady hasn't called a play all year.
