Welcome to the Rant, where no deficit can ever be made up...
Duplantis, Fraley, Robertson due up to get some offense going in the top of the 4th

To be fair, it wasn't exactly a well-hit ball. It was destined to be another Rice seeing-eye hit.
And had it landed it would've scored 2 runs.

cant wait for the offense to try and best their pair of 7 pitch innings

U pansies need to chill and let the game play out. Reading some of your comments I think you've never watched a baseball game. It's 9 innings and will have ups and downs.

Maybe Poche should have started. Too late now. This game is still tight, we just need to start hitting the ball. Rag arm for Rice is going to fold up as soon as it starts getting tight.

I'll bet this is an LSU strategy because it happens every postseason. They'll have a game where nobody understands why they just swing at all the first pitches they get. I'll bet PM tells them to do this as an aggressive strategy hoping they hit gaps to put pressure on the other team. Of course it always bites us in the arse. LSU has shown good plate discipline for the majority of this season so I don't think it's coincidence. Even in this regional we made all the pitchers work the count so swinging at first pitches makes no sense here.
Sadly, I think you're right.
Whatever LSU's approach was all season and whatever is considered "conventional" in elimination games, CPM tries to do the exact opposite when it's a do or die game. Every.Single.Time.
I guess it's a "Ha, this will get em" thought process.

If Poche' shuts them down the rest of the game and we lose 2-0 or 2-1, PM is up for a lot of scrutiny...
