I was in the woods for thanksgiving weekend listening to the Arkansas game on the radio. I remember Hawthorne calling that crazy arky TD and just sitting there so mad thinking we would never fully break through.

Won it all the next year.

That stadium and field were awful. I have seen high school Stadiums that look better than that.

Man what a great photo. Wonder how long the final score was actually left on the scoreboard?? I bet they took it off very quick like!

I went to the Cowboys training camp in San Antonio the following year and was talking with one of the receivers who was trying to make the team. He told me he went to Kentucky and I brought up LSU. He paused and the. Told me that he was all set to get MVP for that game until that final play happened.

This article is 10 years old, but I think this is him (his name was under the article that was posted on page 1). It does note he went to undergrad at LSU.

LINK

Here we go, his current position. He has done well for himself.

One reason that Devery does not get more press is that he is a very humble human being - he was and is a great Tiger

I was at the game with my dad who is now 93 and hanging in there. We took the RV as we usually did to Lexington and we had two other men with us, my uncle and a good friend of ours. Both have since passed away and for my uncle it was his first time to see an LSU football game. After the game we decided just to stay at the RV and drink the rest of the day and then drive back home on Sunday. I have looked and looked for us in the crowd of LSU fans on about the 20 as the catch happened right in front of us. Sadly, my dad no longer remembers the game, so out of the four of us who had a great few days in Lexington, I am the only one of the four original who can relive the memory.

If CNS pulls Mauk in the 4th quarter against Florida when we are already up by 4 scores, we would have easily won 10 games that year. The struggles revolved around QB play, which forced the defense to stay on the field a large amount of time. Lots of 3 and out series after Florida.

Jordy Hultburg interviewed Marcus Randall yesterday. "

Where is JH on the radio these days? I've not heard him in years.

He's on every morning on 103.7 in Lafayette. I think 7 to 9 or 10?

I have that sports page framed in my LSU room.
I would say i would have gotten nick to autograph it but it would have been Ya’el Loftin’s signature since Nick rarely signed anything
