Every time I watch the replay of the “Bluegrass Miracle,” I can't help but wonder whatever became of that young Kentucky fan in the blue blazer and tie. Where is he today, nearly 24 years later?

We lead Florida 36-7 with under 4 minutes left and we kept Mauck in at QB. Handoffs were called for. A substitute RB went the wrong way, Mauck had to keep the ball and tore his ACL on the play.
I knew someone would ask Saban about it and that person would get reemed out.
I forgot who was brave/stupid enough to do so but I witnessed it. It was like Saban was chewing himself out.
You can’t anticipate injuries bla bla bla. But that cost us dearly in 2002.

At any rate the bluegrass miracle would never have happened and the mediocre play at the end of the season because we had an inexperienced QB would have been avoided. Probably would have been in the SEC championship game otherwise.

Henderson had a monster game that day. 298 all purpose yards and 3 TDs. Everyone forgets that he also made a huge TD catch seconds before halftime.
That game gave us the funniest announcer line I've ever heard from UK's radio team. "Our fans are on the goalpost. I don't know why."

Great scenes.
1. Our quarterback running down the field to celebrate while being heckled by a Kentucky fan who had no clue he threw the winning touchdown.
2. The goalposts getting torn down by fans who had no clue they lost.
3. The coaches Gatorade bath and then the agony of defeat.
4. That cow suit [enough said].

The Kentucky radio broadcast is the best
“The fans are up on the goal post…I don’t know why”

I can't believe nobody in the media tracked him down to have him tell his story. His reaction was pure gold.
As a side note, I'm the guy that captured the Kentucky radio broadcast off of Broadcast.com after the game and posted it online. I thought it would be interesting to hear, but little did I know that the "They're on the goalposts. I don't know why" line was in there. Hilarious.
Here's a link to download it: LINK
I used to have the entire game, but I lost it on my old hard drive.
