Yes Brett and Bo are son of tackle Ben Bordelon who went undrafted, but played in the NFL. JD's father was a first round draft pick. They both played together at LSU....

Hurley's a few months older than Underwood. so they'll be the same age when Underwood signs except Hurley will have 1-1.5 years of LSU conditioning/training head start. It's not like 16 year old Hurley will be competing with 18 year old Underwood for the job. Underwood may have more talent, but Hurl...

Depends how bad his leg injury is from the bowl game. It looked pretty bad, and I suspect this is why he's transferring instead of entering the draft....

I think the injury is the answer. Jacques Doucet posted video from the bowl game of him going to the locker room with what looked like a pretty serious knee injury. I have to assume he would've gone to the NFL or maybe returned to LSU, but this injury forced him to change plans and look for a new sc...

Ah you're right. 27 on the first day of early signing. And then Coen Echols later in the early signing period. We can add Diggs to the portal numbers though so back to 5 excess....

And Josh Williams last said he was likely coming back. But I have to assume they'll figure something out so Greg Brooks will not count towards scholarship.
I think we signed 27 on ESD, so McKinley makes 28, so we'd need to make 5 spots assuming we ended the year at 85....
