BK says that Perkins and Ojulari will be able to be on the field in base package

So, Perkins, Baskerville, and Ojulari is a SQUAD

Does this mean Penn to bench?

My guess is Alabama is likely to target Perkins and try to exploit him in some way. We all know Bamas staff, just like all of us, just like Kiffin are going to look at film and see Perkins is a distuptor.


So why is he off the field? Why is LSU keeping him hidden? There's some reason the staff has kept him off the field. Run stopping? Bad at side to side pass coverage? I'm interested to see if they try to come at him in and force him to prove himself.

Good to see that House spent his off week designing ways to keep all 3 of these guys on the field as much as possible. He probably had a challenge to figure out how you use all 3 in nickel and dime personnel. I assume he will have BJ with a hand in the dirt and only 2 other D linemen in the dime.

Sure he should be on the field. But I think some questions still exist or remain unanswered about his completeness as a linebacker. Of course as a true freshman, he's not the complete package yet. But where is he at this point? What are the weaknesses? What have the coaches seen that they weren't yet comfortable putting him on the field full time yet? He has done enough part time to force their hand and make the coaches say we need him out there for better of for worse so we're about to see what that means. I'm glad he's getting the chance.

He's the most complete we have. Maybe he's not the world's best at practice and has a game time switch. Either way I'm glad they finally got their head outta their arse and figured something out.
